1:53

Palatonia, ESPN Radio joins

1:55

us now to talk Super Bowl the Philly

1:57

perspective. Appreciate the time

1:59

my friend. What what do you think

2:01

we're at with with Hertz and Lane Johnson

2:03

from a health health standpoint?

2:05

10 I love the way you

2:07

guys get right to the news. It's beautiful. Well, let

2:09

me give you a little sidebar. So I'm

2:11

I'm in I'm in I'm in radio. I'm on

2:13

radio a Tuesday morning. Area down

2:16

here in Phoenix. And and

2:18

a a very nice gentleman comes up to

2:20

me and goes, I'm from VSiN

2:22

I just wanna tell you, thank you, Uncle

2:24

Sal, who you support VSiN, and how much

2:27

you love what we do. And I said, I

2:29

love what you do. But I

2:31

really love Mitch and Paul. He Paulie

2:33

and Mitch and my guys now.

2:35

So Hey. I

2:37

love

2:37

that. Okay. Love that. I

2:39

see.

2:41

That's big. That's huge. Thank you, sir.

2:43

No. No. Yeah. You know, you guys

2:45

do it You know, you do it right, you do it smart,

2:47

you VSiN. And I always

2:50

tell people, well, listen to me on these

2:52

and because, you know, hey,

2:54

not for nothing. You gotta follow the money. You know what

2:56

I'm saying? Yeah. We

2:58

More money on the

2:59

table. You gotta have more money on the table. What did

3:02

how if I feel it about Mark's I mean, well,

3:04

how do you go

3:04

ahead. Yeah. Yes. So let's get right to you. Let's get right

3:06

to your question because it is the I'm you

3:09

know, there's conflicting things

3:11

out there. You hear different things

3:13

and people are saying different things everybody's

3:16

got an inside job on on what's

3:18

but what's really going on with you on her. So

3:20

let me tell you, though, the overwhelming

3:23

evidence is that he's fine.

3:26

In terms of -- Okay. -- what he

3:28

what he needs to do to perform in this

3:30

game. Now IIII know

3:32

the numbers. Right? He is four

3:34

of twelve. Since the shoulder

3:36

injury on passes of fifteen yards

3:38

more. I I know that. So

3:41

he's been working through it. But do you gotta remember

3:43

he said two weeks since the championship game?

3:46

He's still getting treatment. They're still

3:48

talking about the shoulder VSiN

3:51

if it's still getting better. Because

3:53

it probably is still getting better.

3:55

What he had is he had

3:57

a slight tear in the ligament that

4:00

connects the shoulder blade to the sternum.

4:02

every athlete will tell you, it's we

4:04

can't surgically repair it. And

4:07

the only thing you can do is have it

4:10

heal through time. And

4:12

you can reactivate it very easily,

4:15

you know, and VSiN VSiN.

4:17

When you're playing professional tackle football,

4:20

this just did. You're gonna reactivate it.

4:22

I I don't care how much, you know, you say,

4:24

well, I'm winding on my left shoulder. I'm

4:27

running at a bounce. I'm I'm

4:29

I'm sliding early. You you're gonna

4:31

take hits. You're gonna take hits. So

4:35

if they run the football guys, like

4:37

he did VSiN San Francisco, you

4:40

know, a gentleman has to play with one r.

4:43

Yeah. I'm just I'm just I'm just

4:45

saying, you know, a gentleman has to play with

4:47

one r.

4:49

Yeah. Okay. So a lot of talk,

4:51

obviously, deservedly so sound

4:54

about the Eagles the trenches, tremendous

4:56

offensive line. Awesome VSiN four and the

4:58

way that they can rotate guys, the depth they

5:00

have at defensive line is

5:03

phenomenal. However, I think

5:05

one of the most underrated parts of this game

5:07

the most one of the units not getting

5:09

enough credit is the chief's offensive

5:11

line. It's a solid unit. In fact, I'm looking at the

5:13

numbers right now, They only allowed

5:15

twenty six Saks on the season with an adjusted

5:18

Saks rate of four point eight percent, which is the

5:20

fifth best number in the entire league. What

5:22

if that Eagles Pass rush, which was

5:25

dynamite this year, the best football? What if

5:27

they can't put pressure on my homes?

5:32

Well, they had the number one pass block win

5:34

rate in the NFL. Quarterlane football

5:36

focused, the Chiefs. Their offensive

5:39

line. Number one, past block win. Right?

5:41

So, you know, the way

5:43

teams that have gotten to my homes historically,

5:47

and his three playoff losses

5:49

are with pressure with four and

5:51

five guys. But I

5:53

think this offensive line is better

5:56

than the offensive lines than the homes

5:58

has had in the postseason. Our agreement

6:00

Mhmm. -- a hundred percent. So

6:03

the way to get to the homes is get

6:06

them off the field. Keep them

6:08

off the field. You gotta play

6:10

keep away. There's three is three playoff

6:12

losses. Look at the numbers. His

6:14

three playoff losses, gentlemen. He

6:17

lost the time of possession VSiN all three.

6:20

The the the opposite offense

6:23

played keep away from Patrick Holmes.

6:25

So I asked Nick Seriani, this that

6:27

requested that's why you guys are so smart.

6:30

I asked Nick Seriani last night

6:32

this very question, do you have to

6:34

play people away from Patrick Mahomes? And

6:37

you can tell that he's been thinking about it because

6:39

he said, yeah. You wanna play keep away, but

6:41

she also wants to score a point, so stay on the field

6:43

of third down. So if they

6:45

do that, right, If

6:48

they do that, then that

6:50

opportunity to get to my

6:52

homes because my homes will be playing

6:54

from behind. Will

6:56

be greater, and that

6:58

will put him more in harm's way.

7:00

If they don't, let's say

7:03

the who's have difficulty running

7:05

the ball. Let's say the Eagles

7:08

get behind early. The

7:10

Eagles of that. The debt? It's not

7:12

No. The debt. Yep.

7:14

Yeah.

7:14

That is a plus reporting out of

7:16

you. Absolutely. No doubt

7:18

about it. That's why I'm on your show. So

7:22

the the other thing here too, don't bring you don't bring me you

7:24

don't bring me any Joe you don't bring 10 any Joey

7:26

back at dawn. So I'm a show you got off the cell

7:29

phone.

7:31

So I I think they have a coaching edge.

7:33

They will tell you because I know how I'm going.

7:37

I'm

7:37

going. I'm going. Take that. Have your producer.

7:39

Take your take that right there. You don't bring any Joey

7:41

back. It's on our

7:42

Thomas. Joey got off

7:43

the top.

7:43

No. Come on.

7:45

We're screw around. Yeah. You're demand. So I'm

7:47

I'm gonna go four downs. I'm going four of my

7:49

own thirty four. I don't care. I'm sorry.

7:51

I'm aggressive this. I'm not treating this any differently.

7:54

Than I did the first nineteen games. I love it. What

7:56

would what do you think of the coaching edge for Philly

7:58

if they have one and being aggressive? And what

8:00

was it like when he took the job

8:02

about what that awkward press conference opener

8:05

when he was introduced.

8:08

Yeah. It was awkward for short hundred percent.

8:10

But people were before that even.

8:13

You know, people were like, Nick Sariyami, who

8:16

is that? Because -- Mhmm.

8:18

The Eagles were the only team that

8:20

interviewed the Exterion to put a head coaching time

8:23

VSiN they fired up, Peterson. So you fired

8:25

the guy who won the franchise's only

8:27

super full title. Fire So

8:30

there's the cataclysmic shock

8:32

of VSiN. And then

8:35

you compound that with hiring a guy

8:37

that nobody's heard of. That nobody

8:39

else interviewed. It

8:41

took a while for people to get used to be

8:43

serious. Yeah. He

8:45

had he had to win people over. Do

8:50

you like that the aggressive approach going

8:53

forward at his own thirty four on what he's done

8:55

all VSiN? and then what they run

8:57

with the Porsche on the fourth down the short

8:59

yardage situation and well

9:01

well, that can be an edge something they use and exploit

9:03

in the Super Bowl? Sure.

9:07

I do. I like that. But,

9:10

you know, I think the number one

9:12

thing that the Eagles have to do in this

9:14

game team wise,

9:16

there's there's three things. Number

9:18

one, run the ball effectively, and they've been

9:20

very good at that. And I think the Chiefs are

9:23

poor. Run defense. Poor. They're

9:25

bottom ten. So

9:27

in many in many when you just watch them

9:29

on film, they're just not very good. think you can run

9:31

on them, and I think it will. And

9:34

so I think the superior offensive line

9:36

of the Eagles is a big, big,

9:39

big outlier. Number two,

9:41

the big outlier for the Chiefs is Travis

9:43

Kelsey. Mhmm. I

9:45

mean, Travis Kelsey has so

9:48

Jerry Rice is number one in post season

9:51

catches and post season receiving

9:53

yards. Number one. Number two is Travis

9:55

Kelsey. No.

9:59

You you you you have a plan. You got

10:01

you gotta have a plan to cover

10:03

him. You gotta have a plan to cover him.

10:05

Whatever it is, I don't And

10:07

and The the problem is when

10:10

you get too aggressive in covering him,

10:12

you get these these holding calls, you

10:14

know, defensive holding calls, and those are kill

10:17

us. Because he's so hard so elusive.

10:20

And, you know, it's followed the oh,

10:22

go ahead. Yep. It's amazing. Yep. And I'm it's

10:25

those are the two things. Great deal. Okay.

10:27

Follow the money here on VSiN. These sports betting network.

10:30

Wrapping it up here VSiN Sailpal, Antonio. From ESPN and

10:32

Uncle Sail, we have about two minutes left here. So

10:35

give us then your pitch music

10:36

again. Friday

10:37

before the Super Bowl. You don't have two hours for me.

10:39

Come on. Two hours if you made

10:41

it to radio a row today, but, you know, on the phone here.

10:43

Come on. Let's see here.

10:45

Predip

10:46

prediction for the game final score on

10:48

which the MVP.

10:51

Yeah. I I know. I know. I'm gonna

10:53

go. Here's what I'm gonna go. Prediction to the

10:55

end. Lock it in. It'll

10:57

be it'll be thirty to twenty

10:59

three in the fourth quarter

11:02

with my homes having the ball chance

11:04

to tie the

11:04

score. And

11:07

the eagles will stop him and win the game thirty

11:09

to forty three. Wow. Okay.

11:12

And and the MVP of game will

11:14

be Hassan Redic. Hassan

11:17

Redic. With that score, with

11:20

that score. Wow. Alright.

11:23

The FT01. Let's go a little bit deeper

11:25

here. Does he get the final sack of the game to end

11:27

the drive for the Chiefs?

11:31

Come on. Put your name on. Come on. Hey. Hey.

11:33

Listen. Hey. Listen. I'm I

11:35

am Uncle Sal. I'm not Obi Wan Kanobi.

11:37

Okay?

11:39

You're a Pason. Come on. Let's go.

11:44

I think I think it's too it's too juicy

11:47

and too and too too much poetic

11:49

justice, and it's too good to be

11:50

true. That's why it'll happen.

11:53

Alright. You're the best. Thanks so much for

11:55

the time in the playoffs here today

11:57

as well. Enjoy the rest of the week. I'm sure it's not too

11:59

crazy for you as a guy who's been in Philadelphia forever

12:01

you have knows how many family members and friends back

12:03

there who are Eagles fans?

12:05

No. It's we were at Von Joskie's cigar

12:08

party last night. You know, like,

12:10

two thousand my it was a black party. Two

12:12

thousand of my friends from It was showed up.

12:14

It it was crazy. But

12:17

I apologize. We're not getting the

12:19

radio wrong. You guys had a helicopter to get

12:21

me to downtown Phoenix.

12:22

Yeah. He's supposed to sell it myself. Is

12:25

that is

12:25

that in the decent budget? Is that in the decent

12:27

budget?

12:28

I see. We're getting yeah. Not either saying next

12:31

year it is. Right. So we'll get you there when

12:32

you're next next year. Yeah.

12:33

We're not a big

12:34

year. I'll come out for radio roll and talk to you guys

12:36

12:37

Very good. No. Nope. Never apologize.

12:40

12:49

in that. Got it. Got it. And

12:51

16:00

too. The numbers I'm seeing right now Andy

16:06

Reed, off of a buy, twenty

16:09

eight and four, straight up off

16:11

the buy. Huge.

16:16

So you you have to include this as part of

16:18

that. Right? Yeah. Accounts. And you

16:20

like, that being included in that off the

16:22

would be the win over Jacksonville. They didn't cover that

16:24

game. Right. But he also has very good numbers

16:26

covering games ATS off the buy

16:28

on top of it. Yep. Didn't work out against

16:31

Tampa. But you certainly,

16:33

that does. You have to factor that in. Yeah. That's

16:35

big. So ramp metro does join us right

16:37

now eight ten WHB sports radio

16:39

in Kansas

16:39

City, Marin. I know that you guys have probably

16:42

talked about that at NOSYM on your show

16:44

in that city. But what do you

16:46

think makes him so good off the

16:48

bat? Again, I I'm seeing twenty eight and four

16:50

now if you include the postseason. You

16:52

know, III think Andy reads probably as

16:54

good at maximizing his

16:56

– the time he's got at hand as anybody

16:59

out there. I think probably most reiterated part

17:01

of his repertoire VSiN then

17:03

I think why his assistant coaches

17:05

have been successful. His twelve month

17:07

calendar, I think, is as good as anybody's. I don't think

17:09

anybody gets more out of the off season.

17:12

Vanadium redoes his offense is always take a

17:14

leap, whatever has been thrown at him for the past year.

17:16

He's now got all the answers for.

17:18

I think it's true just on a smaller scale when you

17:20

get down to just adding that extra week.

17:22

He knows how to use that time. He knows how much rest

17:24

to give his coaches. know they always talk

17:26

about how they enjoy the extra sleep. So

17:29

he clearly gives some guys some time to recharge.

17:31

It's not just a matter of like working

17:33

every second that's there. So he he just has

17:35

a really good balance on how to manage his people.

17:38

Interesting. Where are we at with the help of

17:40

the wide receivers? Questionable

17:44

would be what I would say. I mean, they're they're,

17:46

you know, still talking about hilarious Tony.

17:48

He's out on the practice field. They're VSiN

17:51

early in the week, to begin last week, I remember

17:53

the first press conference that Andy had. He said,

17:55

could areas, Tony, is really close, and Jude

17:57

juice Musher is in a good place.

17:59

Which made me think that juju was behind Canary's

18:01

Tony. And so the fact that we're still talking

18:03

about it, I think, is little bit scary. –

18:07

is it just – are they going to play? Yes,

18:10

but last time against the angles that she's got

18:12

into spot where, okay, it's great. Judy

18:14

said he could go, so they put him out there. There's nothing

18:16

worse than going out there, giving you a

18:18

go then a guy sitting down and now you've lost that

18:20

roster spot because they had Justin Watson sitting

18:23

on the sideline inactive and they really could have

18:25

used it last time. So I think that is kind

18:27

of an underrated thing that's not being discussed.

18:29

For motivation, Judy Smith Shuster gets million

18:31

dollars if the Chiefs win and he plays more than fifty

18:33

percent of the snaps. There's motivation for me to

18:35

get out there. And that's he had the same exact

18:37

thing last week in his contract on me. He's

18:40

a AFC championship game. So did he go out there trying

18:42

to get a payday when he shouldn't have been out there? Ended

18:44

up hurting his

18:44

team. I think it's something to keep an eye on. Oh,

18:47

wow. That's a great answer. That is good info.

18:49

What year do you think they'll be able

18:51

to get the rush that going and your level

18:54

of concern with the Philadelphia D line?

18:57

You know, I think you're concerned. I think they're very

18:59

good. I think that little

19:01

bit of maybe an

19:03

inflated value based upon how

19:05

they played some of the worst quarterbacks in the NFL.

19:08

They really only played two top shelf quarterbacks VSiN

19:10

Aaron Rogers put thirty three on them a losing

19:12

effort and DAC Press got one hundred and forty and beat

19:14

them. Otherwise, I think that's one of the

19:16

more underreported things. You look at the caliber of

19:18

quarterbacks. That they faced a number of backups,

19:21

the Tyler Heineke's, Matt Ryan's,

19:23

Carson Went's. I mean, it's a it's

19:25

a pretty easy go. So are they good? Yeah. They're

19:27

very good. They're very deep. But I think

19:29

the seventy Saks are little bit of an inflation.

19:31

The cheese for second in Saks with fifty

19:34

five. I think that's little bit underreported.

19:36

When you talk about the offensive lines, Eagle's

19:38

offense line gets all this level. They allowed forty

19:40

four Sachs. There's two softens line allowed

19:42

twenty six. So is it going to be

19:44

-- are the Eagles going to have some wins? Yes. Is Patrick

19:46

Holmes going to go on his cane. Yeah, I think there's no

19:49

doubt he's not getting out of there with a with a clean

19:51

uniform, but but I think the the chief's

19:53

ability to handle that rush is is better

19:55

than maybe some people are painting it.

19:57

Glad you brought that up because we kicked that around in San

19:59

Antonio the previous segment as well. Like that's being just

20:01

under discussion VSiN my opinion how the Chiefs offense

20:03

of line is very good. And everybody's like, now

20:05

Eagles D line, they're gonna VSiN they're gonna have a bunch

20:08

of sex. Okay. Well, we'll we'll find

20:10

out coming up on Sunday, guess if that's gonna be accurate.

20:12

Well, what are your thoughts? and you cover all

20:14

the gambling stuff as well. What are your thoughts

20:16

on where the game opened? Chiefs

20:18

minus two and a half? Now, what,

20:20

third to twelve days ago on that Sunday night

20:22

after the championship games, and then quickly

20:24

surround how it moved. went all the way down to pick

20:27

them, then equals minus one, one and a half, all the way

20:29

to two and a

20:29

half. What was your thought on that

20:31

move where it sits right now? I

20:34

think, you know, and I remember talking about this

20:36

with my buddy Eric Eager from Sumer

20:38

Sports. He used to be with PFF and

20:40

he, you know, watches and and he

20:42

mentioned, you know, against the bangles, he thought

20:44

that they were basically trying to, you know, get

20:46

money one direction because they thought it was gonna come

20:48

on the Chiefs. Late. That's that's what

20:50

they wanted and they wanted to get some money bank. I

20:52

I don't know that that's the case here. I mean, when we're dancing

20:55

around, you know, zero

20:57

is

20:57

nothing. Right? Because

20:58

there's not going to be a tie. So that's

21:00

not a possibility. So we're dancing pretty

21:02

close. My assumption is that

21:05

they view that they would get more Philadelphia money.

21:07

So want you to pay a bit of a price. And I think

21:09

for the most part what I hear on, we read

21:12

a stat yesterday that somebody said of experts

21:14

in papers and on TV VSiN all around

21:16

like something like sixty three percent of them are

21:19

picking the Philadelphia Eagles. If the public mimics

21:21

that, then think it's just a matter of trying

21:23

to make that they don't get hit with a bunch of Eagles

21:25

money at the end or bunch of public Eagles

21:28

money on the on the day of the game. But I

21:30

I think this is I think the spread is right.

21:32

But I'll say this. I think if you want some value,

21:35

like, if you like Philadelphia VSiN for

21:37

me, I'm, you know, I'm shockingly on the Kansas

21:39

City side. But I'll have a little money in Kansas

21:41

City minus six a half and Kansas City minus

21:43

nine and a half. And I think if you're

21:45

on the Eagles, you should probably do that as well in

21:47

the city side. I'll have a little money Kansas

21:50

City minus six VSiN half and Kansas City minus

21:52

nine and a half. And I think if you're

21:54

on the Eagles, you should probably do that as well.

21:56

Spread little bit that way because I think these teams

21:58

are both really good on both sides of the ball. So

22:00

that means if one defense has a day and

22:02

other one doesn't, then then, you know, you get a couple

22:04

of takeaways the offices are good enough to

22:06

capitalize if they get extra possessions. And

22:08

so I think what is a really close match up

22:10

could also turn into like a 10, thirteen,

22:13

fourteen point

22:14

difference. If just a couple of turnovers go

22:16

one direction. Any walk

22:18

you think walkie stuff will happen from

22:20

a prop standpoint or maybe a big play in

22:22

special teams that could occur?

22:24

You know, the chiefs have not been good

22:27

on special teams. So if you can find

22:29

some action on giving up big kicks, giving

22:31

up a kick return of some sort, they've had

22:34

problem with And they're -- although last

22:36

couple of games, it's been good, but they've had troubles

22:38

with the snaps or excuse me, with the holds,

22:41

on field goals. And they've got number of missfield

22:43

goals, miss Dexter points, Tommy Townsend.

22:45

We've got a struggling with with placing

22:47

the ball. I would wonder if that would rear its

22:49

head if you can find one out

22:51

there on missed PATs, missed

22:53

field goals. I think that would be a spot where

22:55

you might be able to get some long odds on something

22:58

that has decent chance and has happened

23:00

throughout the course of the

23:01

year. So follow the money

23:03

here on VSiN, the sports betting network,

23:05

our guest Soren petro, where do your

23:07

host, WHB VSiN Kansas City,

23:09

your biggest concern if you're on

23:11

the Chiefs in this game? Is it

23:13

the Eagles you know, Russian attack

23:15

hurts how he can get out there and run as well.

23:18

We talked about the offensive line versus their defensive

23:20

line. Would it be the eagle secondary? Like, what bothers

23:22

you the most here about this eagles team? I

23:25

think Steve Magnolloll likes to bring the blitz

23:28

and this is a good offensive line

23:31

and they're going to want to they don't

23:33

have, like, an obvious weakness. Like, the bagels

23:35

right tackle was a problem VSiN you knew you were gonna see Chris

23:37

Jones out there a lot. Unless Laine Johnson's

23:39

really compromised with the abductor, injury?

23:42

Where do they put Chris Jones? And if they're not

23:44

getting a rush, do they get two

23:46

blitz happy? I mean, think that's maybe the Achilles

23:48

heel for Steve Spagnoll that if you're not getting

23:50

there, the answer is always to send more people

23:53

as opposed to maybe say, okay, let's drop

23:55

eight and let's just give fuel goals because

23:57

we'll trade 3 for VSiN. Over the course

23:59

of the day, our offense is good enough to get us there.

24:01

And so my fear would be that

24:03

they have some problems getting

24:05

the quarterback early on and they start sending

24:07

too many guys. That kinda happened against Buffalo. When

24:09

they lost the bills earlier in the year, they weren't getting

24:12

there, they started getting worn VSiN,

24:14

And his answer was to just keep throwing more

24:16

and more at it and the bills were able

24:18

to finally get out to a lead and then eventually

24:20

hold on. So I think the Chiefs are actually

24:23

a decent match up. They're a top ten run

24:25

defense. So I don't think the Eagles are going to run up

24:27

and down the field. They're a lot faster than they were the last

24:29

couple of years. Certainly, against the box. If

24:31

somebody does break a run, they've got guys that can

24:33

run people down. So every time you break through

24:35

the initial line, it's not eighty yards. In

24:37

a touchdown. It's forty yards now you still

24:39

got a chance to hold them to a fuel wheel. So

24:41

I think they're much more equipped. I think you mentioned

24:44

to go back to what you said about the

24:46

pass rush of the Eagles. I think it's because people

24:48

have VSiN rightfully so the vision of the Bucks

24:50

just all

24:53

over Patrick Holmes. And and this

24:55

on the line has been completely rebuilt from

24:57

that. The interior three is very good.

24:59

The right tackle is the biggest weakness. probably

25:01

Andrew Wylie, on his on Reddit if you want

25:03

one matchup, that's the scary part they're gonna

25:05

have to help there. Orlando Brown will get beat

25:07

a couple of times, but he's least solid

25:10

at left tackle, these big and physical,

25:12

not real athletic. And so the edges

25:14

are a problem. But overall,

25:17

I think this is a much more

25:19

even match up on the two to fifty three

25:21

than people realize. And I

25:24

wonder how -- we haven't seen GEO learning's

25:26

have a big day since came back throwing

25:28

the football. And everyone's talking about the

25:30

ankle of Patrick Mahomes. I think a little

25:32

more conversation should be had about the shoulder of dealers.

25:35

I must say he can't do it, but he hasn't done

25:37

it since he came VSiN. And I think that could

25:39

be a bigger point than people realize.

25:41

You can follow him on Twitter. He is at

27:07

time. How are you? Gentlemen, it's

27:09

been a while, but if we're gonna catch up,

27:11

I can't think of a better way to do it with the

27:13

Super Bowl on the horizon. I'm doing fantastic.

27:16

I'd ask how you're

27:17

doing, but you're down in Arizona. I'd

27:19

have to imagine it's been a great time. Yeah.

27:21

It's been a good couple of days here. No doubt about it.

27:24

Always love coming to these events. Let me ask you this.

27:26

You're a Philly guy. I'm from Wisconsin.

27:28

So, you know, I grew up the entire time watching Green

27:30

Bay. And as I've gotten older, I have

27:32

grown more pessimistic as I've watched this

27:34

organization turn into what it is. And I I'm

27:37

I'm always looking to, like, fade Green Bay more

27:39

than anything else. Right? I'm so negative towards them.

27:41

So how do you try to not have that?

27:43

The fact that you are a Philly guy way on your

27:45

mind when you hadn't kept this game?

27:47

Yeah. I'm more your camp than the other camp.

27:50

I know lot of people anytime I'm on Philly and

27:52

I was on them through the first two playoff games against

27:54

the giants the diners. People look at me and

27:56

they call me a homer and I can understand that.

27:58

That actually. But the reality is

28:00

between the Sixers and the flyers and

28:02

the Philly's and Penn State and the Eagles,

28:05

you're gonna find me betting against those teams

28:07

more often than I'm betting on them. Like, I can tell

28:09

you right now the sixers are going out in the second

28:11

round of the playoffs. Go

28:15

ahead. Embedded right now. That's how it's

28:17

going down. I might as well get some out

28:19

of it. So coming into this game,

28:21

it it's I'm not letting the cloud my judge

28:23

Sure I'd love to see him VSiN, but if I'm gonna

28:25

play the side I'm gonna have a position, it's

28:27

just not a big one. You're not gonna find

28:29

me siding because I really like what I've

28:32

seen from Philly to

28:32

here. I'm well aware of their deficiencies as

28:35

I am where they're strong. Okay.

28:38

We have to bar walk me through this now.

28:40

Take us through the offensive game plan

28:43

from a prop standpoint who eats.

28:45

I mean, is it a AJ Brown game? Does

28:47

Goder go off? Is it all about Sanders?

28:49

How do you see it playing out?

28:51

So here's what it comes down to for Philadelphia.

28:54

It's it's if Jalen Hertz can

28:56

access the middle of the field that

28:58

Philly is gonna be able score, they're gonna

29:00

be able to run their offense. You're gonna have

29:02

your big numbers probably from AJ Brown as

29:04

well. Right? That was the big

29:06

change between two years ago and this

29:08

season. I couldn't throw the ball over the middle

29:10

of the field. So credit the Eagles. They go out

29:12

free agency. I should say a trade

29:14

on draft day, and they bring in AJ Brown VSiN

29:17

give them a hundred million dollar contract he's

29:19

one of the best receivers in the business at going

29:21

over the middle. And now suddenly, the offense

29:23

hits another stride. But if you look at

29:25

Hertz post injury, the numbers

29:27

have fallen off. If you look at the game against

29:29

San Francisco two weeks ago, he was just

29:32

chucking that ball down the sideline in the second

29:34

half. He was not going over the middle of the field.

29:36

I think the pressure had gotten to him in that game.

29:38

And I think he understood the situation with the

29:40

injuries on the other side that he didn't wanna

29:42

take a lot of shots or take a lot of risk.

29:44

He was not good in that game. That's a story

29:46

that got buried. Everybody was so focused

29:49

on everything else. No one talked about how lousy

29:51

he wants throw on the ball. So if Kansas City

29:53

takes somebody in middle of the field, watch I

29:55

think that's one of the reasons why you've seen his passing

29:58

prop come down. I mean, that was up around two

30:00

forty seven and a half. I'm seeing it down

30:02

around two thirty nine. So what I

30:04

would say from a Philly player prop perspective,

30:07

I like Kenneth Gainwell in this game. Alrighty.

30:09

He's their top featured back in the back field

30:11

in terms of the passing game. And Kansas City

30:13

has struggled against running backs coming

30:16

out of the back field this year. Second, most

30:18

targets allowed, most receptions, fourth

30:20

most receiving yards. So VSiN well

30:22

over one and a half receptions. Gain well

30:24

over eleven and a half receiving yards or two

30:27

I like. If I was gonna focus on one of

30:29

the receivers, it would be VSiN. Pay Smith.

30:31

But to your original question on the side and

30:33

how this thing plays out. If I'm making a

30:35

bet, I'll I'll be honest, I would play Kansas

30:37

City in this game. I look at Philadelphia's

30:39

defense VSiN I know everyone says, oh

30:42

my god. Look at the metrics, number one

30:44

past the number one pressure

30:46

rate. Okay? Let's

30:48

let's also take a look at who they've played.

30:50

And I see four games, four

30:53

teams they've played this year that ranked

30:55

in the top ten in scoring. I sold Detroit,

30:57

hang thirty five on them. That's one of those teams.

30:59

I sold DAC Press got hang forty on

31:01

them. That's one of those teams. Now Jackson,

31:04

going Minnesota, the other two, Those

31:06

were home games. They shut them down,

31:08

but I think the defense is good,

31:10

not great. I'll say that. I do find myself

31:12

with Andy Reed having two weeks to get ready

31:14

willing to play the Chiefs before I play the Eagles.

31:18

Yeah. Yep. So, okay,

31:21

clearly now you're making the case for the Chiefs. And

31:23

they win the game? Is it gonna be VSiN you

31:25

envision a twenty to seventeen Chiefs win,

31:27

or is it gonna be closer to that total workout right

31:29

now hovering around fifty one?

31:31

Okay. So this is where, like, the least of all

31:33

my conviction is. We all have our props, our

31:35

MVP bats, our side bats. I I

31:37

the total, originally, I was leaning

31:39

under thought it'd be a lowest scoring game

31:41

because if you're Kansas City, my thought

31:43

process is why not attack Philly on

31:45

the ground? Their Achilles heel has been their

31:47

run defense. And if you're able to run the ball,

31:50

if you're able to milk some of the clock, you

31:52

keep herts and the eagles on the sideline, you

31:54

know, sometimes as everyone says, the best

31:56

defense is a good offense. Let

31:58

my homes win the game by slowing down

32:00

the clock. But then you realize they're probably

32:02

gonna pressure him a little VSiN. And and

32:05

even if the Eagles struggle offense, like,

32:07

what's the floor for them in this game.

32:09

K? Do we see them scoring ten points

32:11

outside of an injury? The Chiefs are the

32:13

the Chiefs are gonna be competent on defense

32:15

but they're not going to be a lead on defense.

32:17

And that's what gives me pause when it comes

32:19

to the under. Because I do think, a,

32:21

the eagle defense is overrated. B,

32:24

that overrated defense is going against

32:26

a great head coach and quarterback. And then,

32:28

c, do we see the chief shutting down

32:30

on Philly. So I find myself leaning more

32:32

to the over because I just can't

32:34

find myself in a spot where Philly is scoring

32:37

fourteen points in this game. Like, they're gonna

32:39

break some plays they're gonna get some

32:41

drives going at some point. Kansas

32:43

City is not that good on that side of the

32:45

ball. So follow

32:47

the money here on VSiN, the sports betting

32:49

network, our guest Joe Thornton Ball from ESPN's

32:52

Daily Wager. It sounds to me like you might

32:54

also have a Patrick Mahomes VSiN

32:57

bet in

32:58

pocket. Would that be accurate? Yeah.

33:00

Absolutely. If you like them to win the game, considering

33:02

what? The Chiefs are plus 105 on the

33:04

money line, you gotta get involved with the homes.

33:07

As the MVP as well. I don't see

33:09

a whole lot of scenarios playing out where the Chiefs

33:11

VSiN, and he doesn't get the award, especially

33:13

with all the injuries at the wide receiver

33:16

position. I think the other side is where

33:18

it's more intriguing. I do see a

33:20

path to different MVP

33:22

winners if the Eagles get it

33:23

done. I know Miles standards. This is

33:25

pretty

33:25

popular. He could find the end zone. What

33:27

worries me is that I think you're gonna see more of

33:29

well in this game than people realize.

33:32

So that would cut into what Sanders wants to

33:34

do, and he doesn't contribute a lot in the

33:36

passing game. I think DeVontay Smith

33:38

is someone to keep an eye VSiN, and then I always

33:40

like to play at least a couple long shots on the

33:42

defensive side. lot of people always

33:45

tell you, well, the defenders never win. I

33:47

don't care. It's the Super Bowl. I

33:49

want some moon shots. I'm not gonna sit

33:51

here playing everything minus one 10

33:53

both ways. I'm gonna try to make a score.

33:56

So A thoroughbred. It's been popular,

33:58

Josh Sweat. I've seen him upwards

34:00

of two hundred to VSiN. That's a double

34:02

digit fat guy. And think of it like this.

34:05

If Billy wins, And that defense and

34:07

I'm wrong. And that defense wrecked this

34:09

game. Alright. They wrecked it against the diners.

34:12

I wouldn't be surprised that the voters decided

34:14

They wanted to reward that side of the ball,

34:16

especially if cards and sanders

34:19

VSiN brown and smith and gutter.

34:21

All put up good numbers. You might look

34:23

to the defense and try to reward somebody over

34:25

there. So Josh Schwett is a big

34:27

number. Reddit thirty five to one, I'd be

34:30

keeping an eye on some guys like that. Can

34:32

you expand on your answer on Gainesville

34:34

and what you expect What what do you think

34:37

he can do in terms of Kerry's yards receiving

34:39

rushing?

34:40

Well, passing white, they got him out there at

34:42

one and half percent in eleven and a half

34:45

receiving yards. And I know it's juice to

34:47

the over, but again, there's there's two factors

34:49

to this. He's a great change of pace

34:51

VSiN. And when comes to Myles Sanders. I know they

34:54

like the feature of more in the running game. He doesn't

34:56

have great vision. If you look at this

34:58

offense, when they run the read option and

35:00

the offense of line is blow a blow swing these

35:02

holes wide VSiN. Sanders leaves

35:04

yards on the table because he doesn't

35:07

necessarily look to the second and third level

35:09

of the defense. He gets through it. Yes.

35:11

And he's a little bit more physical, but he

35:13

doesn't have the vision that Gainesville has.

35:15

And you can use Gainesville in the receiving

35:17

game as well. That's what it comes down to.

35:20

He's been a good passcatcher. And at the

35:22

same time, that's where Kansas City's weak.

35:24

Like, when you're playing the niners and those

35:26

line backers, that's a fact this line backing

35:28

unit the NFL. But against the Chiefs

35:30

opposing running backs the Fantasy guys out

35:32

there know this, have put up good numbers against

35:34

them all season long I'd be looking at

35:36

a guy like Gable, he's eighteen to one to score

35:39

the first TV and he's got good prices

35:41

on an anytime TV as

35:43

well. I'd be getting involved in those markets.

35:45

Yeah. I'm with you on that man. You can follow him on

35:47

Twitter. He is at Joe Fortnbaugh, catch

35:50

him on ESPN's daily wager

35:52

thanks for the time

35:53

today. We really appreciate that. It's been too long. Let's

35:55

grab a beer sometime in Vegas. Yeah,

35:58

boys. Listen, it's a pleasure to come on with

36:00

you. You guys are doing the Lord's work. I know what Morning

36:02

Radio is like. I have no idea how you two

36:04

are still standing based on the hours you

36:06

work. But God bless you. I have fun

36:09

down

36:09

there. I'll see you back here and thank you soon.

36:11

Alright,

36:12

buddy. Be good. Thank you.

36:13

There you go. Joe Formbaugh. Alright. Love

36:15

the energy.

36:16

Yeah.

36:17

Yep. Line them up and go. So

36:19

we're we're very similar then. He he

36:21

you're right. Because when when it's known that you

36:23

you're from a state

36:24

or a city like the team. Right? Well, I was the same

36:26

way like the Vikings. Yeah. Oh, when you give

36:29

them out. No. But you this is where you studied the

36:31

team

36:31

at hundred percent when they're gonna get beat. Agree

36:33

with him on the six or two, though, as well. But -- Yeah.

36:35

Yeah. -- phenomenal breakdown. Mike Tennant

36:37

was also up with the Serengetro interview

36:40

with the special teams issues with the

36:41

Chiefs. Yep. You know, miss extra miss

36:44

extra point plus three thirty, two miss Fieldgoals

36:46

plus five fifty and on and on and

36:47

on. I'll tell you what, we've had multiple people

36:49

reach out today on Twitter and

36:52

an email saying, guys, you need to attack

36:54

this part of the prop betting.

36:57

And I think it it raises a really good

36:59

point for various reasons. We'll tell you what that

37:01

and we will run down our final in pocket

37:04

place coming up next year and follow the money. It's

37:06

VSiN, v supports betting network.

39:24

39:25

like that this promo makes it sound like we book

39:28

Rihanna personal.

39:29

Of course, we do.

39:35

He knows before Mac was on hold. If

39:37

his girlfriend was not on his things

39:40

are a very humble blow out a

39:42

human

39:42

lock. You can bet your children's

39:45

unborn children on

39:47

these games. That was so good. But whatever

39:50

I bet, I could change the eyes every book

39:52

maker in the country.

39:55

Alright. Here we go. We're making a pocket

39:57

place. Last

39:59

edition of it here live in Phoenix. From

40:01

Media Row for the Super Bowl. Here's what I did

40:03

while I opened up six or seven

40:05

bedding accounts in Arizona VSiN got

40:07

got the bonuses and then no sweat bets and whatever

40:10

you wanna call them. The matches.

40:12

I put two hundred and fifty bucks on

40:14

Dallas Goddard twelve to one for

40:16

the first touchdown. That was the match out one book.

40:19

I put five hundred on the Canux Rangers

40:21

goal in the first ten, the other night minus one seventy

40:23

five. That was a winner. Uh-huh. Because we're leaving

40:25

today after the show, I also need to probably withdraw

40:28

some I wanna leave it in here. We're on vacation

40:30

next week. So Oh, no. No. You're

40:32

good. Twenty minute drive VSiN and w. Now

40:34

I'm not gonna make it Arizona anytime soon

40:36

again.

40:37

Twenty five minute drive. For who when

40:39

you live in Henderson? Or it's an hour

40:41

for me. A and W. Here

40:44

he goes. Completely with I

40:46

put two hundred and fifty on one of these bets

40:48

on my home Super Bowl MVP plus one

40:50

thirty, a golf bet the

40:53

Jeff like Tom Kim. I put a hundred him.

40:55

It was a match bet at twenty eight to one.

40:57

I put a thousand on mile Sanders anytime

40:59

touched on plus one twenty. Yeah. And

41:01

then the other winner was

41:04

a thousand on the Braun the other night to go

41:06

over thirty two and a half points -- Yeah. -- ice cream.

41:08

So that got there. And, again, I tried to make

41:11

another did make a bet eventually VSiN I tried

41:13

to get it on Kelsey three to one for the

41:15

first chief chief touchdown rejected. It's

41:18

the Super Bowl. What are we doing

41:20

here folks? You have to

41:22

deposit that much money and place that thing

41:24

of a bet to get a free

41:25

bet. Nope. But I can't put it on a Yesterday

41:28

was a rough It was done. A rough day yesterday.

41:31

No nap. No sleep. Deadlined

41:33

in love up to the hype. I wanted to go to

41:35

Wataburger, the Uber driver didn't speak English.

41:37

I'll go, I'll buy you lunch. Let's just go

41:39

here. He couldn't understand. He dropped me

41:41

up at the hotel. He

41:42

got to

41:43

catch up your scenario. No

41:45

sleep. You gotta go to Google translate.

41:47

Yeah. That's what you gotta do. That so

41:49

there's a the new place that I made here while

41:51

in Arizona, bunch

41:54

of pending. Shortest touchdown

41:56

under one and a half minus one sixty winner.

41:59

Very good. Cash that ticket. First, touch

42:01

down score, Jersey number over eleven

42:03

and a half plus one ten. Winter,

42:06

loser, what do I got there? I don't know. It's a top call. Opening

42:08

kick. Let's started off right, hon. Opening kickoff

42:10

touchdown plus one fifty

42:11

five. Let's hit a winner there. Yeah. Kenneth Gaynwell,

42:14

I'm with Joe Formbaugh, our other buddy.

42:16

Paul charged you at over ten and a half receiving yards

42:19

Gainesville to score any time plus three fifty plus

42:21

three seventy five in that range. Can you imagine

42:23

if it's a monster game for him? No.

42:26

I can't. Because if he's gonna want yeah. First touch seventeen

42:28

to one most rushing yards. Yeah. The

42:30

anytime

42:31

touchdown,

42:31

it'll out be a great day for me. That would be

42:34

something. Alright. Yeah. you're right with

42:36

charge as well. Alright? Let's

42:38

dance again. Will there be a two point

42:40

attempt? Yes. Plus 105

42:43

Malm's first pass incomplete. Yes.

42:46

Hertz first pass incomplete. Yes. Plus

42:48

one seventy five. Miss PAT plus

42:51

three fifty five for his touchdown, not passing,

42:53

plus one forty five. Drive

42:55

the start inside the five yard line. No.

42:57

Minus one 10. That's

43:01

it, Circum, Will Hill, both. Time of possession,

43:03

Eagles. Yes. Mine is one forty five

43:05

under five and a half VSiN, under inner

43:07

captions, over fourth down

43:10

conversions in the game, BTTS

43:12

every quarter, six to one,

43:15

over players to attempt the past two

43:17

and a half. Let's go VSiN, plus one

43:19

thirty five. I

43:21

think that's everything. Okay? And pocket presented

43:23

by Pet River's your hometown book. Check

43:25

out their daily specials posted after noon

43:27

eastern at pet rivers dot com.

43:30

Rihanna first song. Let's

43:32

go. Please don't stop the music.

43:35

Let's go with that too for the

43:37

hockey. Now but they were all

43:39

after the ten minute mark. So now twenty

43:41

six and two on the VSiN, there in Detroit early

43:43

Saturday morning. As far as the other

43:46

trend with hockey, the teams

43:48

were off the rest as opposed to

43:50

no rest. And it's been nails the

43:52

last couple of years. It's two one so

43:54

far. Seven Examples,

43:57

seven teams in action, Saturday. And I think they're

43:59

all on the road. They are Calgary, Edmonton,

44:02

Rangers, Islanders, Arizona,

44:05

Chicago, Pittsburgh. Thanks to

44:07

Jonathan Davis for that too. Those are the teams you

44:09

play on right with this hockey angle, with

44:11

the

44:12

VSiN, no risk. If you wanna do that kind of thing,

44:14

this is the angle that Mike Palm hit that

44:17

eight team round robin with

44:19

handful of years ago that paid a lot of

44:20

money. Doesn't mean it's

44:21

gonna come in again this weekend, but it's been a pretty strong

44:23

angle over the year. 211 and write the the one

44:25

that lost was a big favorite. Wanted to give you

44:28

this. Also up on the VSiN

44:30

website. Great job by producer

44:32

Stephanie She does one of the afternoon

44:34

shows here on the network. She's been doing

44:36

this now VSiN the stretch putting together all these first

44:38

touch tone angles. So she went back

44:41

and looked at the entire history of the Super Bowl.

44:43

He realized that the first TD

44:46

has only occurred on the game's opening

44:48

drive four times in the history of the sport.

44:51

Only four times. Yeah. And when you dig

44:53

a little bit deeper, it

44:55

has not been scored on the opening drive

44:58

in fifteenth consecutive championship games.

45:00

That goes back to the o seven

45:03

game. No touchdown opening

45:05

drive. Of the

45:07

fifty six Super Bowls, forty

45:09

two of them were won by the

45:11

team who found the end zone first. And

45:14

to even break it down in more recent years,

45:17

eleven of the last twelve Super Bowls

45:19

featured the winning team as

45:21

the team that scored the first touchdown. The

45:24

Eagles have scored the game's first touchdown

45:26

thirteen times this year the

45:28

Chiefs did it twelve

45:30

times. But, I

45:32

mean, if you believe in this kind of stuff, in

45:35

play VSiN the team scores the first touch

45:37

down, I would also

45:39

I wouldn't be doing that. But if

45:42

you

45:42

also like a side in this game, you're

45:45

going to get a better number in play.

45:48

Right? Because it's basic

45:50

I mean, it's a one and a half point spread. So

45:53

if you wanna wait, if you're if

45:55

you have the patience and

45:58

you just wanna bet the team hoping

46:00

that the other side will score

46:01

first. You're gonna get a better number than where it's at right

46:03

now.

46:04

But that

46:04

can be little dangerous.

46:05

Oh, we're missing anything. Are there different ways to attack

46:07

this? Prompts we haven't mentioned anything. Yeah.

46:10

Absolutely. Email here. FTM at

46:12

VSiN dot com on Twitter at vason live

46:14

at Mitch Moss Radio at Paulie Howard. We've

46:16

had numerous people reach out today to

46:18

to say, guys, how about the penalties over,

46:21

ten and a half, and the penalty yards

46:23

over, which is a broad jump around eighty five

46:25

and a half. Don't

46:26

forget, it's Karl Shepherd's as

46:28

the lead official here. But it's an all star crew

46:30

though. It's an all star crew, so you never know which way

46:32

that could go. Not to them. How about like

46:34

the way they do that? How about Codell this week?

46:37

Officiating has never been better.

46:39

Right. Well, you know, Rod. Here's the

46:41

thing. Officials in

46:44

this league could get like they

46:46

could be immaculate, and people are still gonna have a

46:48

major issue with it. Well, It

46:50

was a shame it happened on the big stage the AFC

46:53

title game that happened --

46:53

Yeah. -- VSiN five blown calls in one sequence. That's

46:55

really that's what happened, which what transpired. Yeah.

46:58

Yeah.

46:59

I I would know, it was a Seren

47:01

Petro saying this. If you like a side to take

47:03

alternate numbers as well, like, he's gonna lay Chiefs minus

47:06

six and a half. And minus

47:08

nine and a half. Yeah. There's certainly an angle. Like, this is

47:10

AAA ten or a thirteen point game at the end of

47:12

it. It could be close the entire way, but a team scores

47:14

to make it A22 score lead. I

47:17

could see that happening. I think

47:19

the quarterbacks will be clean. I

47:21

think you could see special teams booboos

47:23

and and wide receivers put it

47:25

on the

47:25

ground. That's where III can see

47:27

something there. Like, who do you trust for the Chiefs

47:29

wide receivers? Like, that specific group?

47:34

I I don't once the draft happened

47:36

with the blackjack tournament, however, I

47:38

was really intently watching these Chiefs games,

47:40

are they just silly turnovers? Yeah. Know, Shuster,

47:42

Tony, I think there was an end around play

47:44

with Shuster. There was special teams stuff

47:47

on the punt return dropping it. Right. You

47:49

know? Yeah.

47:51

That that's it's certainly been a problem all year.

47:53

So and Serena knows about that covering the team

47:55

with the special team's

47:56

issue. So he cast some big tickets on that too.

47:59

If

47:59

something

48:00

can transform I think it I think it basically

48:02

shakes down to a a pretty damn good

48:04

Super Bowl. Both these teams are I

48:06

mean, they have sixteen wins on the year. I

48:08

can't the matchup here. I used to I still

48:10

love Russo. I don't like the game,

48:12

Mike. I got I got I got I'm chased

48:14

out. chased out. I can't do it. Cheah.

48:18

Eagle fans are all over me, Mike Kanto. Five

48:20

years. It's been a five year run. He's chipped

48:22

out. That's incredible to know. Who knows?

48:24

Maybe it's not as sexy a game as we think,

48:26

but I Well, mean But who knows? It could be

48:28

you never know what you could would transpire on

48:31

Sunday. Well, did you did you think chief fucking ears was

48:33

gonna that big of a blowout? Yeah. Didn't

48:35

see that comment. No

48:36

doubt about it. Once the game started, you saw

48:38

a comment. 10 Des oh,

48:40

yeah. VSiN nails. Unbelievable

48:43

week. The whole setup. Your setup's amazing.

48:45

Yeah. Great job, guys. Thanks to everyone at draft

48:47

49:05

49:14

49:14

49:17
