1:00

1:02

of the counter with Arthur to Caesar from

1:04

the Caesar's Sports Book Family.

1:07

He worked the link here in Vegas

1:09

and Ralph, we gotta start

1:11

at the show talking about Parlay pats Man. Do you hear

1:13

this story.

1:17

I did, Yeah, three

1:19

plus threatening messages and now he's

1:21

looking at five years, and all of which

1:23

I had to do with Parlay's that he won or

1:26

Parlays that he lost. What

1:28

do you make of this? I mean, what do you do with the

1:30

guy that loses a bet and then

1:32

goes and and and and threatens

1:35

the athletes because I

1:37

don't I don't think you can give him enough

1:39

jail time. I honestly don't. When

1:42

you know, I don't want to get graphic, but this is

1:44

a tweet that he tweeted. I mean to put it

1:46

in perspective. He directed this

1:48

at a Toronto Blue Jay's picture and said I will

1:50

gash your daughters and then

1:52

severed their throats with a dull knife. I

1:55

mean, put the guy away is that doesn't

1:57

deserve the sports bet, gives the industry

1:59

a horrible now, and he deserves

2:02

the jail time. All

2:04

right, we're gonna take a break. We're having a little

2:06

bit in terms of technical difficulties.

2:09

Right bad, right now, No big

2:11

deal. We'll figure it out. We'll be

2:13

here when we come back, and we'll talk NBA

2:16

Breakdown Saturday and Sunday

2:18

plus college hoops right here, on

3:16

3:18

Michael breaking down the world of sports and sports betting

3:21

for you. Our weekend preview editions,

3:23

technical difficulties solved, and

3:25

Ralph before we so we're so rudely

3:28

interrupted by those technical issues. We're talking

3:30

about Parley Pats who sound out all those

3:32

threatening messages and is now looking at five

3:34

years in prison. Sports

3:37

betting can make you crazy,

3:39

all right, it can't, and especially

3:42

when you're parling, can make you especially crazy.

3:46

But the more

3:48

the longer we do this, the more it makes

3:51

you can't And obviously

3:53

you can't. He's looking at five years at jail time. But

3:55

you can't take out your frustrations on

3:58

the players who just cost you bets. Right, players

4:00

are doing what they want to do, and you're doing

4:02

what you want to do when you want to do. When it

4:04

comes down to making wagers,

4:07

you make your own decisions. Parley Pats made

4:09

his own decisions. I'm

4:12

with you. Throw the book of this guy. That's not how

4:15

we deal with frustrating results. You're

4:17

allowed to be frustrated. You're not allowed to threaten

4:19

the guys that cost you bets. You made

4:21

the bets. Yeah, yeah, and it's even ten

4:24

times worse for college kids, you know, these

4:26

are these are kids that are doing doing it on

4:28

a scholarship and not getting paid to do it. So

4:31

you know, to me, that's even even ten times

4:33

worse than doing it to the pros, you know.

4:35

And then if you're gonna do it to the pros, doing it to the families

4:38

is even a hundred times worse to even sending

4:40

a note to the pros. So again, uh,

4:44

not worth the time we spent on him. Good riddance.

4:46

I hope he gets I hope he gets the mac sentence.

4:49

If you lose bets, feel free. You

4:51

can send me nasty text

4:54

messages. You can send me nasty

4:56

tweets. UM, I can

4:58

handle it. I'm not an lee,

5:00

all right, And I'm making recommendations on who to bet

5:02

on who or not the athletes were not doing

5:04

that. Um. Frankly, there

5:07

are people that shouldn't be betting. Harley

5:09

Pats is one of them. Now, let's

5:11

talk some big game by breakdowns.

5:14

We have a bunch of games in the Association

5:16

and in college hoops or

5:19

this weekend that are worthy of note. Let's

5:22

start in the NBA. And the reason I wanted to start

5:24

with this game not just because it's on national TV,

5:27

but because we saw Steph

5:29

Curry get back in the lineup and have

5:31

an impact in his first game back for

5:34

Golden State. No, the Warriors didn't

5:36

win the game, although they did cover the closing

5:38

number. Now, on

5:40

Saturday, at home

5:43

in Golden State, Curry gets his second game. They'll

5:45

be playing against the Philadelphia team that's

5:47

been not just bad, not

5:49

just really bad. They've been woeful on

5:52

the highway for months all

5:54

year. They're playing without Ben Simmons, they're playing

5:56

without Joel Embiid, They're probably playing without

5:58

Josh Richardson again. But they are coming

6:01

off a rare road win at Sacramento

6:03

pretty much a wired wire job on

6:06

Thursday night, so both teams

6:08

with positive signs. Philly finally gets

6:10

a road win snapping that one night and one a t

6:13

S run on the highway in Golden

6:15

State with the spread cover with Curry

6:17

back in the lineup, and guess what they

6:19

got something from Curry. So two teams

6:22

pointed upwards. Right now as

6:24

the Sixers battle the Warriors. Well,

6:27

you know, Teddy, I'm going right back to you. So

6:31

mentioned mentioned most of those Sixers

6:34

road games seven and twenty is

6:36

their current mark both straight up and a t

6:38

S their last twenty seven road games since

6:41

November thirt they've only won back

6:43

to back road games one time. That

6:46

was against the Knicks and the Nets January

6:48

eighteenth. But my question

6:51

is this, Teddy, and you're our NBA

6:53

guru expert, is

6:56

we've talked about when superstars come

6:58

back it takes a few games to them

7:00

for them to get acclimated. Well, there's

7:03

no bigger superstar than Steph Curry

7:05

coming back scoring what seven

7:07

seven? Is it the same process

7:10

for you to adjust the Golden State Warriors

7:12

power rating or is

7:15

he an exception? Yeah, there's

7:17

a bigger superstar than Steph Curry if Lebron's

7:19

out in Lebron's and he's worth more to this bread than Steph

7:21

Curry. Um nice is the

7:23

same way, uh in a lot of regards.

7:26

So I did raise my power rating

7:28

on Golden State with Steph

7:30

Curry back in the lineup. I had

7:32

them as my thirtieth ranked team.

7:35

Now I have them as my twenty ninth ranking. The Pistons

7:37

are lower than the

7:40

Golden State Warks. War didn't win that game

7:43

against Toronto, all right, They weren't

7:45

that close to winning that game against Toronto. You

7:47

look at the guys Curry is playing with. He

7:49

has no familiarity with any of them.

7:52

Literally, last night, without Green on the floor,

7:54

without Looney on the floor, I think he played four

7:56

games or last with everyone one else to be played with

7:59

in his career. Maybe Christ he played a couple of games with. But

8:01

I mean, it really is

8:03

a learning out, feeling out process.

8:06

Golden State has no home court advantage whatsoever.

8:09

Literally no home court advantage. I have them at the lowest

8:11

home court in the NBA with Minnesota.

8:14

UH. And it's a Warrior's

8:16

team that isn't really trying to win.

8:19

You know they ran love to have the number one pick. You

8:21

bet they would, whether they use it or whether they

8:23

trade it. That's a nice asset for the

8:25

Warriors to have if they want to go be competing for championships

8:28

next year. So this point

8:30

preas likely to be fairly short. You

8:33

know, Philly my numbers Philly two and a half

8:35

maybe comes a little bit higher than that. But

8:38

I want no part of Golden State at home. I'll leave it

8:40

at that that. I want no part of Golden State

8:42

against the team that cares like the Sixers

8:45

clearly do. Well,

8:47

we're gonna talk about the Houston Rockets traveling

8:49

to Charlotte. Houston played

8:52

at Boston at New York,

8:55

came back to play the Clippers. Now

8:58

back on the East Coast against Charlotte. The

9:00

TC number Houston minus State will

9:02

allow you to explain your TC number

9:04

again. Should the Houston Rockets

9:06

be concerned. They've only lost back

9:09

to back games eleven times in the last

9:11

fifteen months. They have gone eight

9:13

and three a t s off back to back

9:15

losses. Tell us about the Rockets

9:17

and the Hornets. Yeah, and look, the TC

9:19

number is real simple. That's just my powering number.

9:22

Uh, and it is team A minus

9:25

team B factor in home court. Uh

9:27

it's pure math um.

9:30

I don't factor in situations. So

9:32

these are a general assessment

9:35

of where I expect the number to come.

9:38

Are they accurate. They're fairly accurate.

9:40

Are they always right? No? H

9:43

But that that said, it's a process. It's

9:45

part of my process. I make a powering number for every

9:47

single game in every sport that I bet.

9:50

Uh pretty much, And

9:53

uh so that's a part of my process.

9:56

Houston is coming off as bad a game

9:58

as they're ever gonna have on the offensive end. They started

10:00

what they were two of twenty and not of course, I

10:02

had the over on the Rockets last night,

10:04

and they opened two of from three point I think

10:06

there were three of thirty seven at one point,

10:08

and they hit a couple down the stretch that

10:11

would be a cold shooting game. And

10:14

it started bad, it got worse,

10:17

It got worse after halftime.

10:19

The intensity was there. It was an absolute

10:22

throwaway performance for the Houston

10:24

Rockets at home on national TV, as

10:26

a team they wanted to beat. So

10:29

we say, how does that affect them moving

10:31

forward? Generally, you say

10:34

good team coming off

10:36

a bad loss to the Knicks by a bucket. You know,

10:38

that crazy game against Boston and

10:41

then the complete no show

10:43

against the Clips. In theory,

10:45

is supposed to be a step up spot the Rockets.

10:47

In theory, they're supposed to run this team out

10:49

of the gym. But when you look at how Charlotte

10:52

has played in recent weeks, this team

10:54

is not laying down at anybody.

10:57

I've been impressed with the Hornets

10:59

mental tough this, I'm impressed with their defensive

11:01

acumen, and I would not be surprised

11:03

at all. This turns out to be a relatively

11:05

low scoring affair played at Charlotte's

11:07

pace, not the breakneck

11:10

place pace that the Rockets like to play.

11:13

I've got multiple questions on this next

11:15

game, Teddy. The Utah Jazz playing

11:17

at Detroit, Utah,

11:19

listen to how streaky they've been. These are just

11:21

straight up games. They've won

11:23

three in a row, they've lost four

11:26

in a row. They won four in a

11:28

row, they lost four in a row,

11:31

and now they've won three in a row. Now

11:34

the Utah Jazz minus

11:36

seven is your TC number against Detroit.

11:39

How do you how do you play on a streaky

11:42

team like the Utah Jazz? Number one

11:44

and number two explain to our

11:47

viewers how much you

11:49

have to think about what happens

11:51

tonight when you're giving out your assessment for

11:53

tomorrow. As the Utah Jazz

11:55

play at Boston tonight and then

11:58

playing the second game of a back to back with

12:00

no rest facing the Detroit Pistons,

12:02

the TC number Utah minus seven.

12:05

Yeah, And of course the second of back to backs, if

12:07

the game in Boston is competitor tonight and comes down

12:09

to the wire, uh, and Utah's forced

12:11

to exert significant energy in that contest,

12:14

this number may come and not you're too shorter. But

12:17

I talked about how I had raised my Golden

12:19

State Power rating from

12:22

the very worst team in the NBA to the number twenty

12:24

nine team in the NBA with the return of Steph Curry.

12:26

Of course, that means there's a team behind them, and

12:28

that's the Pistons without anybody.

12:31

When you look at Detroit's roster right now, it is

12:33

the most anonymous roster in

12:35

the NBA. And I'll give them credit. They're playing hard, and

12:37

that's something you find with the anonymous rosters. We're

12:39

seeing it for the t Wolves right now, we're seeing it

12:41

for the Pistons. The efforts there every night. I've

12:44

been impressed. You know, sometimes they get

12:46

punched in the mouth and it's not there, but by and large,

12:48

the efforts largely there. Four teams

12:50

like Detroit, but again, you're paying for a home

12:52

court advantage that doesn't exist,

12:55

and it's a jazz team. You do worry about

12:57

the letdown off of Boston.

13:00

But following that ugly

13:02

skid post All

13:04

Star Break quotes, I'm seeing

13:06

out of Utah's this team's interested

13:08

in putting together a little winning streak. I would

13:10

be in no rush to bet against them in Detroit

13:13

tomorrow. Let's talk some college

13:16

hoops for Saturday,

13:18

and we'll start. You know, I focused

13:20

on the TV games here, Ralph. Obviously,

13:23

this is the type of year where you know, next

13:26

week at this time when we're talking all conference tournaments.

13:29

For now, we ought to talk

13:31

the games that are officially on

13:34

the card, and we'll start with Villanova and Georgetown.

13:37

It's Georgetown really a bubble team. I'm

13:39

seeing anything from the Whins that makes me think they deserve

13:42

anything resembling an n

13:44

C Double A tournament bid. They're

13:46

at home and they pull off on upset and to have a

13:48

chance or is Georgetown's postseason

13:51

bid chance is gonna be come down to what

13:54

they're able to do in the conference

13:56

tournament when the Big East comes

13:58

to battle next weekend. You

14:01

know, the Big East, the Big East, the Big Ten, the

14:03

Big Twelve have so many teams

14:06

that are just so sound defensively

14:08

that it is just a physical battle

14:10

day in and day out. There are most

14:12

times where I would tell you, if

14:15

you have the Villanova Wildcats who are

14:17

off a road win at Seaton Hall as

14:19

a three and a half point dog, winning

14:21

that game outright, they shot fifty

14:23

two percent from the field over from

14:26

the three point land, that is a situation

14:29

where I would look to normally fade

14:31

Villanova. But the

14:33

Georgetown dynamic is interesting.

14:36

Fifteen and fifteen is an important

14:38

record. If I have a team like

14:40

Georgetown that's fifteen and fifteen

14:42

and they have a winnable game, I actually

14:45

give them a boost to try to finish the regular

14:47

season with a winning record. But

14:50

this Georgetown team is so banged up. Your

14:52

top two players, Mac McClung and your seven,

14:54

their center, have missed each of the last

14:56

two games. I don't think they'll be

14:59

back in this game. If McClung

15:01

and your seven are not back, I'm happy

15:03

to lay up to four and a half with Villanova

15:06

if they are back. It's a no play for me.

15:10

So earlier this year,

15:13

you talked about Florida as being a team

15:15

that has enormous upside like

15:17

the Gators. You know, Mike White'll get him and figure it out.

15:19

Gators are a team that has the potential

15:23

to make backers money down

15:26

the stretch. Hasn't worked out

15:28

as well as you had initially

15:30

thought. But I'm asking you going into the post season

15:33

here. Of course, their regular season finale at

15:35

home against Kentucky Number one, Florida,

15:38

make any noise in March? Number

15:40

two, do you have a buy or a cell

15:43

to sign on this team

15:45

when it comes to this matchup

15:47

against Kentucky on Saturday.

15:52

You know, Florida to me as has been a big

15:55

disappointment. Sitting at nineteen eleven.

15:57

This was a team that I think I had fourteen

16:00

fifteen in my power ratings to start the

16:02

year. You know, you have a team that

16:04

knows how to play defense. You have a team with

16:06

Kelly black Shear, and you have a

16:08

point guard Emhard who who's been there

16:10

and done that. As as a sophomore. So

16:13

the stability has been there, they just have not played

16:15

up to their potential. You know I am

16:18

I am right now, Teddy. I am looking

16:20

to almost fade every SEC team.

16:23

And one of the most wild stats

16:25

to me when you're looking at the SEC moving

16:28

forward, the best

16:30

team in the conference as far as defensive

16:32

efficiency goes is South

16:35

Carolina at number forty three.

16:38

When the best defense in your conference is

16:40

number forty three, you are not

16:42

playing physical defenses game in and

16:44

game out. Those are the type of situations

16:47

that I'll look to moving forward. As

16:49

far as Kentucky, this is

16:51

the John Calipari system. Struggle

16:53

a few games early, don't worry about

16:56

looking good. Get your young kids

16:58

to play. You have a sophomore point

17:00

guarden Hagan's you have a sophomore guarden quickly,

17:03

you have a freshman in Maxie. You play these

17:05

three small guys that are all six ft three.

17:08

Kentucky is learning how to play defense. Their efficiencies

17:10

all the way up in the top forty.

17:13

I I have Kentucky winning this game,

17:15

and I am happy. I think the game comes close

17:17

to pick them. I will take Kentucky with any

17:19

points I get Kentucky

17:22

on Senior Day in Gainesville, Ralph

17:24

says, expect the road

17:27

team to win. Let's talk Seaton Hall

17:29

and Craton and look, I mean this

17:31

conference. We've talked about it all year as

17:33

being the Big East, as being as tough

17:36

as any there are any weak

17:38

teams, and one

17:41

battle after next, it has not been a

17:43

good conference for those who have been looking to lay

17:45

points. That being said, Creighton

17:47

has been one of the good teams, one of

17:49

the few good teams in the Big East when it comes

17:52

to having success as chalk,

17:54

what's your take Creighton at home tomorrow

17:56

Blue Jays against the Seaton Hall pirates heady

18:00

to your point, if you just look at the straight

18:02

up numbers in the Big East, the

18:05

home team is only fifty and thirty

18:07

five fifty eight point nine

18:09

percent. That's not a very big number for a

18:11

straight up number. The dynamic

18:14

is this, Seaton Hall had a chance

18:16

to win the Big East outright against

18:19

Villanova. Now, if Creighton

18:21

wins this week and it's a three way tie,

18:23

Creighton actually comes out as the number

18:26

one seed in the Big East. If Seaton

18:28

Hall, Creighton, and Villanova all have a

18:30

three way tie. But I'm

18:32

a fan of the Seaton Hall team losing

18:35

at home to Villanova by two doesn't

18:37

phase me at all. Uh,

18:39

you know, you still have the best player on the court

18:41

with Miles Paul. It's interesting

18:44

when they when they move him to point guard and

18:46

when they let him when let him play

18:48

shooting guard. I think he has a little

18:50

more of a presence in the offense

18:53

obviously as a shooting guard, but

18:55

you do have to match him up with Creighton Zerkowski

18:57

here, so I think he has to play point I for

19:00

a lower scoring game. And

19:03

again, this is a game where I think the number is going

19:05

to be about three. I would lay up

19:07

to three with Seaton Hall, but I'm

19:09

not gonna lay anymore against this Craton squad.

19:12

If you've been laying points against U

19:15

c l A, you have not done

19:17

well of late. The Bruins have come on like a

19:19

freight train down the stretch playing

19:22

and all we can call it is mccronin basketball,

19:25

huff, defensive minded,

19:28

you know, physical in the paint. I've

19:31

been very impressed with the Bruins so over the oddsmakers

19:34

U c l A and USC Pack

19:36

twelve showdown on Saturday.

19:40

I'm a huge fan. I love when

19:42

a team comes in and starts to get

19:44

a team to play defense like mccronin has

19:46

with U c l A. You know, and now

19:49

they're they're a game behind Oregon UH

19:51

in the conference title. I

19:53

am I. I love what you c

19:56

l A has done, but here's

19:58

the situation. You know, they've been a good

20:00

dog. They caught a lot of teams by surprise.

20:03

Yes, they've gone what two losses, they've

20:05

gone ten and two down the stretch, but

20:08

a lot of those have been in the role of

20:10

catching a team when they're not accustomed

20:13

to the style USC played

20:16

this team back on January eleven. They

20:18

have revenge.

20:20

I I think you see a USC

20:22

stops the seven game winning streak for U

20:24

c l A this week, and the line

20:27

may come close to pick them. There's been a lot of U c

20:29

l A backers. I may find myself

20:31

on the Trojans this week. And

20:34

real quick, Ralph thirty seconds or less.

20:36

We gotta talk North Carolina Duke. Even though

20:38

this isn't one of the true the

20:41

marquee matchups between these two signature programs.

20:44

Duke Duke Duke. We saw the excitement of

20:47

Duke after beating NC State. This

20:49

is not the same Coke Coke coach

20:52

k team. But I'll tell you what. They still

20:54

play lockdown defense. Duke

20:56

gets it done handily. I'm gonna lay

20:58

anything up to thirteen and a half

21:00

and maybe where the line is, but under

21:02

that I'll be taken to Yeah, I wouldn't

21:05

be surprised if it comes out of not too higher uh

21:07

than that. When we come

21:09

back, we'll be talking to Arthur to Caesar from

21:11

21:13

21:56

Talk or the other side of

21:58

22:01

difficulties right now, we apologize if

22:03

you'd have him on the show momentarily,

22:06

um Ralph.

22:09

One of the things we're gonna talk about with Arthur in just a moment

22:12

is conference tournaments versus the Big Dance.

22:15

It's compare and contrast type

22:17

of situation. Do you

22:19

like the conference tournaments over the course

22:21

of the next ten days as much

22:24

as the Big Dance more than the Big Dance? Are less

22:26

than the Big Dance. They're very different

22:28

nuances and how we handicap these I

22:31

like them more, Teddy. I think there are significant

22:34

live betting edges in the

22:36

conference attorneys. You

22:38

have teams I'm gonna go as

22:41

example, the Mountain West. I went

22:43

to the Mountain West games on Thursday.

22:46

Air Force was off and upset. They were playing

22:48

San Diego State. Air Force

22:50

was a team that was only playing on fourteen

22:53

days fourteen hours of rest, but

22:55

came back had those legs

22:58

under them. The first half had lead

23:00

against San Diego State. The live

23:02

line san Diego State was minus seventeen

23:05

and a half for the game. They were down

23:07

four with a line of ten and a half, meaning

23:09

San Diego State only had to win by six

23:11

and a half. I live bet that. As

23:14

we speak. Northern Iowa the number

23:16

one seed in the Missouri Valley is down

23:18

eighteen to tend to Drake. Drake played

23:21

last night. In the second half,

23:23

Northern Iowa will pull away from

23:25

this team and get a margin. I like playing

23:28

these higher seeds with no rest

23:30

in a live betting situation, down

23:33

early against a team that won

23:35

the night before, and you're

23:37

going to find many of those this weekend next

23:39

week. Yeah, I'm with

23:42

And it's almost sacrilegious to say,

23:44

all right, and

23:47

let's let's bring it Arthur Caesar right now. Thank

23:49

you so much, Arthur. We've worked through

23:52

the technical difficulties. Welcome to the

23:54

program. How are you today, sir, gentlemen.

23:57

Pleasure to be here as always. So

24:00

Oh, Ralph and I are talking

24:02

sacrilegious right now, because

24:04

we're both in agreement. If

24:06

you want to actually make money

24:08

betting college basketball, the conference

24:11

tournaments are better than the Big Dance. Agree

24:13

or disagree? Oh,

24:16

I totally agree with that. I think once

24:19

you get to the n c A tournament, obviously

24:21

a lot of these lines are going to be pretty tight. Um.

24:24

I think there's definitely value in the conference

24:26

tournaments. A lot of the times you can find

24:28

value with underdogs or you can just ride

24:31

the number one seed who has been bludgeoning a conference

24:33

all season. So yes, I'm with you. Conference

24:35

tournament is way better than n c A tournaments to make

24:37

money. Let me ask you this when

24:39

it comes to the handle, is there

24:42

any comparison between

24:44

the conference tournament handle and what we see

24:46

for the opening weekend in March mannes is because conference tournaments,

24:49

I mean literally, there is action from

24:51

eight in the morning till midnight. You think there's action

24:53

from March Madness next week Wednesday,

24:55

Thursday, Friday, Saturday, from

24:58

when you wake up to when you go to bed. Do

25:00

you do a decent amount of handle? Or

25:02

is it all really the week after,

25:05

which is of course the opening weekend of the Big Dance.

25:10

No, you know What's it's a great point. I think,

25:12

listen, nothing's going to compare to the first four days

25:14

of the n c A tournament. But I think people

25:16

have realized that, like you said,

25:19

tournament week is a fun week.

25:21

You know, it's not going to be as crowded as March Madness.

25:24

The lines are going to be as long, you know, maybe

25:26

easier to get seat to places. So people are starting

25:28

to say, hey, let's come that week Conference

25:31

tournament week and bet and have fun and

25:33

then we'll be home for the n c A tournament. So

25:35

listen, it's never going to compare. The handle is not

25:37

going to be anywhere near to towards

25:39

the tournament. But I think people are starting to

25:41

realize how fun the tournaments

25:44

are, you know, because there's just so much action

25:47

A r Ralph, You know, I

25:49

have a question two questions. One,

25:52

you know, is the first four days of

25:54

March Madness the biggest four days obviously

25:57

or do those lead eight games come close?

25:59

And I want to know if you

26:01

took those first four days of March Madness,

26:04

and again I'm putting you on the spot, I apologize,

26:07

would it be compared to an NFL

26:09

playoff weekend or would it be close

26:11

to almost a Super Bowl Sunday. Yeah,

26:16

you know what, raps, the first four days are

26:19

always gonna trump the next four days

26:21

where you're talking to Lead eight and Sweet

26:23

sixteen weekend. First four days nothing compares.

26:26

Obviously, there's more games people come

26:28

in for that weekend. It definitely starts

26:30

to thin out the week after the

26:32

next Thursday through Sunday. Um,

26:35

you know what, nothing's going to compare to maybe a one

26:37

day Super Bowl, but I

26:39

think those first four days are

26:41

comparable to let's

26:44

say a playoff game or even better now,

26:46

when that actually happens, I will dig in

26:48

and find the numbers and I will do some comparisons

26:51

from this year to you know, playoffs

26:53

to March Madness, so we can figure that out. That will

26:56

be interesting to look at. One

27:00

last question about conference tournaments.

27:03

There any teams because you're I love when

27:05

you give opinions, Arthur, you know,

27:07

give us opinions on m LB last week. We'll ask you more

27:09

about that in a minute, But are there any teams that you

27:11

like as a conference tournament sleeper? Yeah?

27:16

You know what, Tilly, When you asked me that last night, I started

27:18

to look a little bit. I had two

27:21

that I think are interesting. One

27:23

is Virginia. I don't think Virginia is going

27:25

out on a limb. You know, they are the fourth

27:27

team in the A c C. But Virginia has

27:29

been under the radar and the teams above them Florida

27:32

State, Duke Louisville. I don't think they're great teams.

27:34

They're beautiful, and when you have a defense

27:36

like Virginia, anything is possible. Obviously,

27:39

you know, they don't score, but they played great defense.

27:41

And I think in the Americans, very interesting

27:43

a team that's been hot lately. And listen,

27:45

the teams above them aren't that great and they just beat

27:47

one of these teams. Yu can Ucon's

27:50

on a little bit of role. Listen, we've seen

27:52

you can do this before. Obviously, different costs

27:54

of character, is different coach, but Ukon is

27:56

interesting in the Americans. You

28:00

on, Wow, you really are going out on a

28:02

nice limb there, all right, no pressure at all.

28:05

Who did you get to the window with the Beta national

28:07

title? Well,

28:12

well, ralph As you guys know the team

28:14

I've liked all year and the team

28:16

that I was on early in the season. I gave you Florida,

28:19

who's been terrible. But Seton

28:21

Hall, I still like Seaton Hall. I still

28:23

think they have a really good chance depending

28:25

and listen, it's all about your bracket. But

28:27

listen, you have Miles pal you have a chance.

28:30

You know you can get them right now, eighteen the one. I

28:32

think that's great value, and Michigan State's

28:34

still great value. I mean you can get them at eleven

28:36

of one right now. They were the preseason number

28:38

one team in the country and depending on their

28:41

draw with Izzo and Cassius Winston,

28:43

they have a real shot. So

28:46

let's just focus to MLB for a moment

28:49

um. In the

28:51

betting markets. You're talking about the White Sox

28:53

being a really hot team last week.

28:56

Anyone really hot this week in the MLB betting

28:58

markets or is it's still just White Sox money and

29:00

that's the number one wise

29:03

guy team heading into

29:05

the meat of preseason baseball.

29:10

No, for sure, Teddy. I mean it's still White

29:12

Sox all across the board as far as division

29:14

over, you know, win

29:16

the World Series, win the Pennant. But two teams I didn't

29:18

mention last week that we're interested. A lot of people

29:20

are on the Reds. A lot of people like the Red's over.

29:23

Maybe Reds to win the Central and I'll

29:25

Central kind of a toss up division.

29:27

You know, people are on the Reds last year, but people

29:30

are now back on the Reds this year. And everybody's

29:32

fading the Red Sox. Anything they can fade fade

29:35

on the Red Sox. They're fading they're under

29:37

is a big, you know, a big fade. So those

29:39

are two teams I didn't mention last week. You

29:42

know, our last week he gave couple opinions

29:44

out in Major League Baseball for

29:46

for the people viewing this week that didn't watch

29:49

last week. We now have game scores, we're

29:51

watching, we're we're hearing highlights, and we're

29:53

seeing cole get ripped for back to backs?

29:55

Can you give us a couple of over under opinions from

29:57

last week again? Play?

30:01

Oh? Yeah, absolutely? Rough? U the two

30:03

teams that I really like. I I like the

30:05

A's over ninety and a half winds, and

30:07

I think you could sprinkle a little bit on them to win

30:09

the A L West at plus three. I

30:11

mean, listen, the Astros are the biggest question mark

30:13

this year. We don't know are they gonna collapse,

30:16

are they going to be in a real you know, hey,

30:18

let's go out and prove how good we are. And

30:20

I like the Indians under eighties six wins.

30:23

I think by mid season they're probably sellers.

30:25

Who knows what, Lindor and

30:27

those are the two that I really am focusing on. Question

30:30

that are one more question, A fun question

30:32

off the cusp Astros

30:35

over under hit by pitch over under

30:41

You know what, Rough, that's a great question. We were actually

30:43

talking about this at work last night. I

30:46

personally would take the under. I just think

30:48

at some point, I think early

30:50

in the season they might, they might get thrown at, but

30:52

eventually Major League Baseball is going to have to police

30:55

it, because then the Astros are gonna have

30:57

to start throwing at people. There's gonna be fights.

30:59

You know, you can't have every game that the Astros

31:01

playing. You don't know either side if there's

31:04

gonna be you know, just a beam ball or there's

31:06

gonna be bench playing balls. I think Baseball

31:08

will stepping eventually and really clamped

31:11

down on it. So I'd take the under. Alright.

31:14

So we've talked a little college who's

31:16

we talked little MLB. Let's

31:18

go around the spectrum. We talk a little NBA

31:21

with Arthur Caesar from the Link Sports Book

31:23

here in Las Vegas, one of the Caesar's properties

31:26

right on the strip. And we

31:28

saw Steph Curry returned

31:30

to the lineup last night for Golden stated

31:32

he had an impact, He played really well.

31:34

Um, did that attract any

31:37

betting interest for the Golden State wards? Is anyone

31:39

interested in betting the Warriors? There is Curry

31:41

just doing what he's uh, you know, is

31:43

it a non factor in the NBA? Betting markets

31:46

right now. Yeah,

31:48

you know what today, I mean, I think people were happy to see

31:50

one of the best players in the NBA back. You

31:53

know. It really didn't move

31:55

the needle that much. I mean, you know,

31:58

I think once again, people were happy to see him it. As

32:00

I've said on this show numerous times, the thing that's

32:02

moving the needle right now is the Lakers. So yeah,

32:05

nice to see step back, but the interesting to

32:07

see moving forward now that we've seen him play a

32:09

game. He looks good. You know, will people

32:11

be back betting the Warriors are?

32:15

You know? I give you and and all the Caesar's

32:17

guys a lot of props when you come up with

32:19

these unique one off

32:21

bets, and it sounds like I'd be sitting

32:24

at a bar with Teddy and I'm gonna say,

32:26

I'll tell you what, I'll take the Bucks in the Lakers,

32:28

you take everyone else in the NBA. Well,

32:31

you guys came with that prop, the Bucks

32:33

and the Lakers minus one forty

32:35

everybody else plus one twenty

32:38

Early action on that and your take on it.

32:43

Yeah, so right now, so we we did put out

32:45

that proper rout. You're absolutely correct. I think

32:47

the reason we put it out is because the Bucks and Lakers

32:49

do play tonight, so we figured a

32:52

people are gonna be bet in that game. We'll also put that prop

32:54

out. You know, people can look at it. Me personally.

32:57

Listen, I would just pick one of the teams and take

32:59

the plus money and you know roll that

33:01

way because I don't want to lay the one forty. But it's

33:04

very interesting problem because of us put out yesterday.

33:06

We haven't really seen that much action, not

33:08

yet, but I'm sure some people will jump in

33:10

on it. Arthur the Caesar

33:13

thirty seconds, probos and plux. What's

33:15

going on at the Link Sports Book this week? Well,

33:19

you guys know, gentlemen, it's you know, the

33:21

best time of the year in Vegas. Beautiful weather going

33:23

on down at the lake. You know we're gonna have conference tournaments

33:26

ramping up, you know, this weekend, but you

33:28

know, starting next week. And just come down and say hi, gentlemen,

33:31

great stuff. Arthur the Seazar. Always appreciate

33:34

your time, appreciate your patience. We'll talk

33:36

34:26

Ralph Michael's breaking in the world of sports and

34:28

sports betting for you. We're

34:31

gonna take a look at Sunday hoops, Little

34:33

Sunday hoops. Look ahead, Ralph,

34:35

We'll talk college and then

34:37

yeah, and let's start in the

34:39

collegiate ranks. And these of course will be the final

34:42

regular season games of

34:45

this college basketball season. After Sunday,

34:49

everything moving forward is

34:51

tournament play, single elimination

34:53

winner, go home play. That gets

34:56

fun, but that doesn't

34:58

mean that the action this weekend will be fun.

35:01

Senior Day in Houston, the Memphis Tigers

35:03

coming off look pretty impressive

35:06

showing last night against Wichitas date. Let

35:08

me facing a Houston Cougars team that coming

35:11

off a less than impressive showing

35:14

against the Yukon Huskies team that Arthur the season

35:16

was talking about just a moment ago. Can

35:18

Houston bounce back strong at

35:20

home? Memphis at Houston Early start

35:22

college hoops action on Sunday,

35:24

Teddy, I got a bar bet for for our viewers

35:27

to win. You said that moving

35:29

forward, starting next next Monday,

35:31

it's win or go home for the rest of the college

35:34

basketball season. True,

35:37

clearly, I got one road the

35:39

CB I best two out of three in the finals,

35:41

so you can lose one and still play the next game.

35:44

So go ahead and win that bar bet. All right, let's

35:46

get to the serious level. Um, I'm gonna

35:48

take one extra minute on this game, go

35:51

through something that I want to teach handicapping

35:53

or hopefully help people. When you

35:55

look at the Memphis Tigers and you look at their Ken

35:57

Palm rating, they are number twenty four

36:00

and tempo, so people think that's fast

36:02

paced. People think they want to play the over.

36:05

Memphis has completely warped

36:07

into a slower team down the stretch,

36:10

playing slower foes. When

36:12

they're totals in the one thirties, from

36:14

one thirty to one forty, they have

36:16

actually gone two and ten over under.

36:19

I was on the under last night. I

36:21

was on the under against Houston. That number

36:23

was one thirty eight and a half. They only

36:25

scored a hundred nineteen points. Houston's

36:28

offense the last three games thirty

36:31

nine percent, thirty four percent, thirty

36:33

six percent. I think this total

36:35

is gonna come one thirty four. I'm

36:37

gonna bet this total one five

36:40

or under. I think there's gonna be huge value

36:42

on this game under the total. Excellent

36:45

information from Ralph Michaels.

36:47

Let's talk a little Big ten uh College

36:49

Hoop says, look at the under in Memphis Houston.

36:52

What about in Michigan at Maryland?

36:55

The Turps and the Wolverines have

36:57

both shown signs this season. I continue

36:59

to think that Maryland

37:02

is the one team out of the Big

37:04

well, one of the teams maybe maybe

37:06

Sparty you can put something together. But I really think of

37:08

all the teams in the Big ten that have a chance to

37:11

put a deep Final four run together,

37:13

I think Maryland might be at the top of that list. Does that mean

37:15

anything at Senior Day at home against the

37:17

Wolverines, what do you take

37:20

Michigan versus Maryland. Well,

37:23

Senior Day, you only have you have one senior

37:25

starter Cowens. So when teams have multiple

37:28

senior starters. I think it affects

37:30

them more. I'm worried about

37:32

this Maryland team. I I don't like him in this situation.

37:35

Losses to Ohio State, Michigan State, and Rutgers,

37:37

and yes, those are all good teams. Well, guess what,

37:39

Michigan has been playing as well as anyone down

37:42

the stretch, So UH with

37:44

a senior day, with that added pressure, with

37:46

Maryland perhaps playing UH

37:48

with with an extra bit of a

37:52

tightness around their neck, I'm gonna

37:54

take Michigan plus three or more

37:56

and I think I think the line will be three,

37:58

three and a half or four. Michigan's

38:00

of potential play. Juwan Howard

38:02

good Hire for the Wolverines. Yeah,

38:07

you know, I like the way they've played balanced,

38:09

and you know, you're looking at

38:11

a team that was eleven and eight and

38:14

you know, had some injuries early, so

38:17

I didn't know what to expect. But

38:19

being tenant, being ten and nine

38:22

in the Big Ten has impressed me. They've

38:24

exceeded my expectations. So I

38:26

have to say, yes, good hire at least

38:28

for year one. Well, we're

38:30

talking about exceeding expectations.

38:33

Michigan State hasn't done that. Lately, the

38:35

Spartans have been decidedly

38:37

mediocre. They've been good,

38:40

but not incredible. They'll

38:42

be facing Ohio State at

38:44

home on Sunday. What's your take

38:47

the Spartans and the Buckeyes. Well,

38:51

you know, the one thing I'm gonna mission mention

38:53

is this, you know, we act like

38:55

the Spartans. Spartans are a five hundred

38:58

team that aren't going to make the tournament. Twenty

39:00

one and nine, they were in first

39:02

place in the toughest conference, and

39:05

they're one of only eight teams in the country

39:08

along with Ohio State in the Big Ten,

39:11

that are Ken Palm Top twenty

39:13

for offense and defense. So

39:16

I don't think there's anything with Sparty.

39:18

I think it's it's a team that went through some injuries,

39:20

went through the first half of the season not knowing

39:23

if they were gonna have Lankford. They knew

39:25

he was going to be out the rest of the year, they

39:27

made their adjustments, and while Ohio

39:29

States playing as good as anyone,

39:32

Uh, this is the game I'm just gonna watch and enjoy

39:34

because I can't lay four and a half

39:36

or five to Ohio State, and

39:40

I don't want to. I don't want to play against Sparta

39:42

because they're the team I really think is focused moving

39:44

down the stretch. So which

39:47

came out of the Big ten is gonna make the deepest run in the Big

39:49

dance Sparty, I I

39:51

I I have I have my national uh

39:54

my biggest national title prop

39:56

on Sparty that I bet. So for

39:59

that reason that what we means they're not going to do it. But

40:01

betting wise, that's who I feel as

40:03

the strongest opinion. And I got him back

40:05

a couple weeks ago when they were struggling, and I bet

40:07

him at eighteen to one. So they're in the single

40:10

digits now, I believe. So you know, we'll

40:12

see if that works out. Teddy any uh any

40:14

you want to share that you have going in before

40:16

we talk about NBA. Oh, when when

40:18

it comes to college, who was futures? That's not something that I bet

40:20

on basically ever, Um,

40:23

I can't remember when I you know, it's it's

40:25

it's just not

40:27

how I approached the college back in sixties.

40:30

Seven teams are gonna lose that tournament and one team

40:32

is gonna win it. Um,

40:34

when we start talking about the props for

40:37

March Madness, I'm always interested in the props

40:39

conference. Wins by conference, that's

40:41

something where we're gonna spend a whole segment talking

40:43

about wins by conference. Uh,

40:45

because that's something that is absolutely an absolute

40:47

moneymaker year and year out. But

40:50

when it comes to futures, I'm not

40:53

it's not about pounding my chest. Look what I got. I

40:55

got an eighteen you know, Um, that's just

40:58

they're nice to have. I didn't day

41:02

Okay, see has been money as an away

41:04

dog the TC number four and a

41:06

half as they go to face the

41:08

Boston Celtics on Sunday,

41:11

What do you make of the Thunder and the Celtics.

41:15

Yeah, this is really an interesting question.

41:17

Boston of course has been going

41:19

through some let

41:21

me say some struggles. You know, they've been going

41:23

through injury problems. And when you're a

41:25

team like the Celtics were, basically

41:28

your top four players have all been dealing

41:30

with recurring or nagging

41:33

or ongoing injury situations,

41:36

it creates, like I said, chaos,

41:38

but it creates unevenness

41:41

in level of performance when guys are healthy when

41:43

they're not. You know, we've seen Boston

41:45

superstars. You know J.

41:47

S. Tata is playing like a superstar when he's healthy.

41:51

That's certainly an issue with

41:54

the Celtics right now.

41:56

And okay see, all they've done is cover numbers is

41:59

a road dog. All this has been absolutely

42:03

their best role. Every

42:06

time I watched the Thunder, I'm like, this team's

42:08

overachieved. You know, I don't think they win a

42:10

playoff series. Um

42:12

and, I look at Boston as a team that's a good

42:15

not or two better than okay see, I'm

42:17

not stepping in front of that ridiculous point

42:19

spread run on the highway. Okay see, has been the

42:22

single best team in the NBA

42:25

when it comes to covering these numbers. Covering

42:27

these numbers is road dogs. Covering away from

42:29

home. They're not number two, you know, they're number

42:31

one and the number one for a reason.

42:34

All that said, if I'm playing

42:37

um lay and, I'd rather have the Celtics and the

42:39

Thunder in this one. Listen

42:42

to this schedule. The Lakers

42:44

go to New Orleans and face Zion

42:46

and a crazy Pelican squad. They win

42:48

that game. They host Philadelphia,

42:51

they win and cover. Oh yeah, by the way, you're

42:53

hosting the Milwaukee Bucks in Giannice. And

42:55

then what happens Sunday? You gotta play the

42:57

Clippers. Your line the Clippers

43:00

on and a half Lakers Clippers, what a

43:02

game Sunday afternoon. Yeah,

43:04

And I'll tell you what. You know, the Clips

43:07

are making noise right now, and

43:09

if you're not paying attention, you're missing an opportunity

43:11

because the Clips, who like

43:13

Boss, you know, they haven't had their top

43:15

players healthy for any extended stretch

43:18

at any point this season, and

43:20

now they do. They've got all key

43:22

hands on deck. When you're talking

43:24

about a team with Patrick Beverley and

43:27

Kawhi Leonard and Paul George,

43:29

you're talking about a team that has three first

43:32

team caliber All NBA defenders. The

43:36

Rockets found that out the other night. Wasn't

43:38

pretty for Houston Backers. That game

43:40

was over at halftime, and just as importantly,

43:43

the Clips were there in the second half. They locked

43:45

down just as well in the third quarter of that game to

43:47

really put it away before garbage

43:50

time. Clips are playing defense.

43:53

Clips are a one way team for me, and

43:56

I'm not gonna call it there. There's not a letdown

43:58

when you're when you get up in the NBA, you

44:00

get up for a stretch of games and

44:02

you have days off between them. That's

44:04

not necessarily a bad thing. You know, all

44:07

right, they have a huge game against Milwaukee on

44:09

tap for Friday night, and they have the Clips on Sunday.

44:11

Okay, it's not a letdown against

44:13

the Clips. Win or lose is not a letdown against

44:16

the Clips. And if the Lakers lose against

44:18

the Bucks tonight, I don't know that I'll

44:20

be betting the Clips on Sunday because the Lakers off the loss

44:22

have been phenomenal. But if

44:25

l a can get the win against Milwaukee

44:27

tonight, I would

44:29

look to bet against them on Sunday. It

44:32

is the Clips team. They are one way team

44:34

right now. Alright, look at what they've

44:36

done since they've gotten healthy, since the All Star break,

44:38

you understand exactly what I'm talking about.

44:40

They're playing defense at a championship

44:43

level. The Indiana

44:45

Pacers coming hot as well, seven

44:47

and two their last nine games. The

44:49

Pacers two losses at

44:51

Toronto at Milwaukee,

44:54

absolutely nothing wrong with that. Now

44:57

they're gonna face Dallas the TC number

44:59

Dallas minus three Pacers MAVs.

45:02

Yeah, I mean the Mavericks are

45:05

not healthy, and not healthy

45:07

is not even their stars aren't healthy.

45:10

Porzingis, who's been on load management

45:12

this year. He played forty five minutes

45:15

and that overtime win against New Orleans,

45:18

UH noncompany win against the Worlands earlier the

45:20

week. That concerns me. You

45:22

know Luca don Chick, who has obviously

45:24

been you know he's not it's

45:27

gonna be honest or Lebron

45:29

for m v P. Lucas probably if I

45:32

wouldn't argue if you put him third on that list, I really

45:34

wouldn't um.

45:36

His thumb is messed up. He played

45:38

forty one minutes in that game. He was

45:40

so gassed afterwards he didn't even

45:43

practice the following day.

45:45

Man's aren't right right now. That being

45:47

said, Indiana, I don't know if Brocken

45:50

is gonna play. Malcolm Brocken is an

45:52

impact player for the Pacers.

45:55

He's not in the lineup. Indiana not a team

45:57

I'm excited about backing. That's

45:59

going to wrap it up for the weekend preview edition
