Then, we have an awesome talk with Mr. Jim Sporleder about his career, his experience transforming Lincoln High, behavior research that debunks the current and traditional system as we know it, and where we need to go with legislation in Washington to solve the problem instead of exacerbate it. If nothing else, listen at 35:30 - Mr. Sporleder states "Washington State is looked at as one of the leaders in the nation on ACE awareness, Trauma Informed Care being implemented yet our Legislators and our State Educational Officials have written policy that the average person in our state doesn't even know, that we have the most punitive graduation requirements in the entire nation"... "we've denied about 30 thousand kids their high school diploma over one math test. We're denying kids their diploma based on things that they physiologically cannot do.... we continuously crush the kids that need us the most".
