Take your thoughts captive

The devil plays such tricks with our minds. It may be something you struggle with as well. We can convince ourselves that something is the truth only because of the way we have made it appear in our minds.

The Bible has a lot to say about our thoughts.

Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable — if anything is excellent or praiseworthy — think about such things. Philippians 4:8

The Lord knows the thoughts of man; he knows that they are futile. Psalm 94:11

Search me, O God, and know my heart, test me and know my anxious thoughts. Psalm 139:23

Speak Life

This is not the first or even second time this year that I am sharing a post on the power of what we speak, which signals this is something that the Spirit of God wants us to settle within ourselves.

You have a choice to either speak life or speak death to the situations and circumstances in your life. Speaking life means speaking in consent with the Word of God, speaking faith-filled words, speaking words that build, words that are fruitful, words that manifest God’s will and purpose for your life.

Evaluate what you let into your spirit.

Do not put vile things before your eyes. Do not poison yourself.

Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable–if anything is excellent or praiseworthy–think about such things. (Philippians 4:8)
