Kristina Kaufmann is the Chief Executive Officer and co-founder of the Code of Support Foundation (COSF). During her 11 years as a wartime Army wife, Kristy experienced first-hand the numerous barriers between those who serve and the resources designed to support them and their families. Kristy co-founded Code of Support with Vietnam veteran General Alan Salisbury to remove these barriers and make good on our promise as a nation to honor and care for those who have served our country. 

Now in its 10th year, the Code of Support Foundation provides direct Case Coordination to hundreds of military and veteran families each year, and through PATRIOTlink® connects tens of thousands more service men and women, veterans, caregivers, and their families to the resources and support they have earned through their service and sacrifice.

Kristy is known for her commitment to military families, with a vision to elevate and provide support to the military and veteran caregivers who serve alongside their service-members and veterans. Kristy speaks extensively on the impacts of war on the mental health of military families; effective strategies to reach and serve veterans at the highest risk, including their families; and leveraging technology solutions to eliminate barriers between veterans and the critical support they need.  Kristy’s publications include the Washington Post, New York Times, NPR, CNN, and HuffPost.
