JessicaRose Johnson is a four-year Marine Corps Veteran and the only daughter of Air Force veterans. She is granddaughter, great-granddaughter, and spouse of navy veterans. JessicaRose is a Daughter of the Revolutionary War. Since her medical discharged from the U.S. Marine Corps in 2011 she has continued to serve her fellow veterans. While attending the University of Central Oklahoma (UCO) she served as Veterans Affairs work-study in the VA office and served as the President of her Student Veterans’ Organization. JessicaRose graduated UCO in 2015 with a Master degree in Crime & Intelligence Analysis and Religion & Culture.

During her time at UCO she created and maintained ‘Military Mondays’ where different veteran services were brought in every Monday to the veterans office space. One particular Monday, a member from the local veterans rowing team attended. She went to check out the program with intentions to help promote it, not join it. However, there she met her now Husband, Andrew, the captain of the team. She is now the manager and coach. Freedom Rows Warriors OKC veterans rowing program is a VA grant funded program allowing veterans to get healthy both physically and mentally while interacting with their peers.

JessicaRose then served as a case manager for Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF), a VA grant helping disenfranchised veterans whom were either homeless or on the brink of becoming homeless. After some time with SSVF, she transitioned into serving as the Suicide Prevention Program Manager for the Oklahoma Army National Guard. While in this position JessicaRose was appointed on Oklahoma’s state Suicide Prevention Council, Chair of the Oklahoma Governor’s Veterans Behavioral Health “Ask The Question” initiative, and was awarded the Employee of the Year Team award for her “Just Reach Out” Suicide prevention and awareness video.

JessicaRose transitioned to working for the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance abuse services where she served as a field representative for an Opioid Overdose Grant. In this position Jessica-Rose traveled the state educating first responders and community members on Opioid Overdoses and the use of Naloxone/Narcan.

JessicaRose is Oklahoma City Mayor’s Veteran Liaison and appointed by OKC Mayor Holt to represent SMVF for the OKC Human Right Commission Task Force. She is a Living Works Certified Instructor for ASIST- Applied Suicide Prevention Skills Training and for SafeTALK.

JessicaRose is the newly appointed president of USO Oklahoma’s board. She is the owner of Rosebud Consulting LLC- a company focused on advocating and education for Suicide and Overdose prevention. JessicaRose is member of Oklahoma’s Medical Response and Stress Response Team. On top of here business she is a volunteer baseball coach at Norman United academy, coaching the Warriors. OKC veteran rowing program, and works for SAMHSA and VA’s Service Members, Veterans, and Families Technical assistance center
