We do a lot of celebrating during Memorial Day, another holiday to spend time with family.
The purpose behind Memorial Day is about saluting and honoring service men and women that gave their all as well as those that have gone before us.
POINT #2: Celebrating Life Or Focusing On Death?
Are we remembering how people died or how they lived, celebrating their lives or focused on their death?
Warrior Week supports the Navy Seals fund as a way of focusing on the principles that governed these men’s lives.
POINT #3: MURPH
Death becomes something that we don’t want to look at, even though it happens to all of us.
I do a workout called murph which is to memorialize Navy Seal Lieutenant Patrick Murphy who was awarded the Medal of Honor for his actions in Afghanistan, dying so that others may live.
QUESTION OF THE DAY:
Where in your Core 4 (body, being, balance and business) are you choosing to live? Where are you choosing to die and not to live? What evidence would we find?
CHALLENGE OF THE DAY:
Write in your War Map (journal) the answer to the Question of the Day. It may not be easy, but it’ll be worth it.
QUOTE OF THE DAY:
“If we choose to live we can find purpose in life that is worth living. Freedom is not free; it comes at a cost from those that were living to give their lives in order to allow others to live the ultimate life that they can. My focus is on making a life that matters and honoring those that have sacrificed everything so that I have an opportunity to be free and live a committed life that matters.”
