The current situation of college athletics is a hard-luck one across the country due to COVID-19 and the uncertainty of the short term future. Universities and departments are being optimistically cautious, including the University of Hawai‘i. Director of Athletics, David A.K. Matlin with the help of his executive team has been leading the department, by making decisions to push forward and working towards the goal of student-athlete and staff safety.
