At its heart, “Mandalorian” is a western, or as my grandma would call a “shoot-em-up.” Our title character shoots his way through the landscape, grabs a bad guy and jets off into the great vacuum of space. Anyone, Star Wars fan or not, will enjoy this simple, basic plotline. Because that’s what it is. “Mandalorian” isn’t here to break the mold with powerful storytelling in episode one, instead it’s designed to be good… just good enough to keep you wanting more.
