- The progress game can get us caught up in measuring ourselves in the wrong ways because we don't always see the wholeness of what really matters most. Sometimes such things only become visible in hindsight. We often think we do know what matters most and this is how we can deceive ourselves out of being in the present moment fully. The error is when we are measuring for something that may not actually matter in the end we trade away true value for the wrong things and miss out on what truly counts. With too much focus on making progress we may go on missing out on all the creative opportunities we had to explore because we got too tunnel visioned on one thing that ultimately doesn't even matter for our true fulfillment.
