Your Mate Tom and his partner, Yesenia came up to the Gold Coast from Melbourne to spend four days with us.In this interview, Yesenia and I discuss the psychedelic healing experiences that she has had which have helped her to process childhood trauma and grow psychologically, emotionally and spiritually. She has participated in retreats and private experiences including the use of magic psilocybin mushrooms, ayahuasca and LSD.I think this video will give people some idea of what to expect if they did choose to explore psychedelic substances but a lot of research and preparation should take place before any individual exposes themselves to these powerful, life altering experiences.She also talks about releasing anger through physical activity and gravitating towards Muay Thai as the ultimate outlet for her anger.What’s really interesting is the way she processes and deals with emotions is aligned with masculinity because she has such a strong relationship with her dad and wanted to be just like him as a kid. The masculine approach to dealing with emotions for generations has been simply “man up” and she embodied that. The insight that I’m having here is we ALL need that balance between our masculine and feminine sides.We need to express emotion and vulnerability and it is easy to fall into the trap of emulating masculinity if we feel that is all we are supposed to be.
