As you are faithful in giving, you will be able to do greater and greater things through the power of God. Faithful farmers should be able to plant bigger and bigger fields every year because they harvest more and more seeds every year to plant. Therefore, faithful givers will be able, through God’s power, to give greater and greater amounts. That’s the promise of this passage. That’s the reason why God gives back to givers, not so they can keep it, but so they can continue to be good stewards of God’s resources and continue to give.
