Cause: Gunfire
Between 1 a.m. and 2 a.m. EST on April 25, 2018, a male offender shot Corporal Cole, then stole his fully-marked cruiser, drove to Cumberland Farms in Norridgewock, ME and committed a robbery.  The offender then fled the store in the patrol car.  The offender was captured on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at about 12:43 after a manhunt.

Condolences go out to the family, friends, and co-workers of Corporal Cole.

The names of the suspects or defendants in criminal cases are not published as not to bring notoriety to their name and the heinous criminal acts.
