In late January 2013 Vancouver British Columbia native Elisa Lam traveled to California. She was there to scout university’s to transfer to. She decided to book a room at the quasi infamous Cecil Hotel. She had no idea her stay would later enhance that infamy.

At the start of February she was due to check out yet, she never did. This caused the hotel to notify the police. On February 6th the LAPD began to release details of Elisa’s strange disappearance, and on the 7th they held a press conference with her family.

On valentines day that year the LAPD released the now viral 2 minute video of Elisa acting strange in the hotels elevator. We’ve all seen it. And it’s the last time she was seen alive. 5 days later hotel guests began to complain about poor water pressure and a weird taste to the water. Causing the Cecil to send maintenance To look at their water tanks. It was there inside a water tank where they discovered the nude corpse of Elisa Lam. And where the story really and truly began to get weird.
