Now, your holiday vacation wouldn’t be complete without going to this point where most shows are being held—be it for private events, graduations, concerts, family shows, and many other events, the Target Center is the place where you want to be. The owner of Target Center is the City of Minneapolis itself but the operator of the arena is Anschutz Entertainment Group. The current and original naming rights partner of the arena is Target Corporation. The Target Center has 702 Club seats and about 68 suites. The center opened in the year 1990 and was twice renovated in the year 2004 and 2014.In the year 1990, the Timberwolves was the one who built this center and they are the original owner of the building and it was later on managed by Ogden Entertainment. In the year 1995, the Minneapolis City bought the arena and in the year 2000, Clear Channel Entertainment took up the contract. And again the management was turned to Midwest Entertainment Group in 2004.During this year, the arena was renovated. Today, the arena can accommodate over 19,000. The center lower bowl of the arena was also renovated to make it more fan friendly. Another renovation was the old score board, which was replaced with a modern score board with the 9-by-16 foot video screen. The upper deck is a luxury lounge with enhanced seats for persons with disability.Photo dscf0029 by Michael Hicks is licensed under CC BY 2.0
