We promised not to name any more episodes after U2, and we held up our end of the deal. It was VERY difficult to resist, especially after such brilliant quips like "U2-icide." The crazy thing is, none of us really listen to U2, but as performers, it's impossible to deny their influence - and then with their recent residency at the round ball thing in Vegas, they're back in the spotlight. Before that, they were only in the news around 2012 because their album came free with on iTunes with new iPhones, so they became a meme for people that don't like them and couldn't get rid of the album.

Goddamn it. Here we go, talking about U2 again. Okay. No more.

How cheap is Nick? Why won't he just buy new sticks? For the love of god, stop hitting your drums with frayed, splintered chopsticks!!! Mike and J have to change strings every couple weeks; new bass strings are $50, new guitar strings are $15, yet Nick has been using the same $14 sticks he bought in 2014. GHAAAAA!!! Okay, now that that's off my chest...

Voice care, hearing concerns, keto & weight loss, the eclipse, mobile home depreciation - we talk about it all in this episode! Mike & J recently saw Jimmy Eat World and Fall Out Boy in concert, so we talk about the logistics of concertgoing (logistics; strikingly captivating podcasting, amirite?)

Thanks to everyone who either deliberately comes out to see us or just happens to be there when we're playing. We had a blast playing for you these last couple weeks; shout out to the West Point cadets who joined us at the Firstie Club on the 25th of April and the wonderful crowd at Gleason's in Peekskill, NY two days later! We love all of you and love interacting with y'all. We're happy to take pics, sign autographs, do body shots (whatever that is), or anything else!

We’re In A Band!

Did you ever wish you learned to play guitar or drums but never got around to it? Do you love live music but wish it was you on stage? Do you ever wonder what it would be like to sing in front of hundreds or thousands of people? Well, then, why not come hang out with Nick, Mike, and Jase as we sit back, have a couple drinks, and discuss everything about being in a band. We’ve spent our entire lives playing music and playing in bands and now comprise the Hudson Valley’s number 1 90’s & 00’s cover band, Run For Cover, playing all the songs we’ve grown up with and love. Whenever you see a band playing at a bar, club, festival, or private party, there’s so more that goes on behind the scenes to make that happen: decades of dedication and practice, tens of thousands of dollars spent on equipment, and thousands of hours of practice, not to mention negotiating with club owners and even organizers, dealing with inter-member conflict, and the struggles of being both artists and businessmen.Join us as we discuss topics like ”Polygamy: How being in a band is really being married to several people!” and ”Imposter! That’s Not Your Real Name! - A guide to dealing with crazy stalker fans” and ”Why do I have to pay so much for a band to play at my wedding? Don’t they just get drunk and act stupid on stage?” (the answer to that last one is, ”Yes, but...”)Please send any questions or comments to [email protected]. We’d love to hear from you and see what questions you might have or topics you’d like to hear us discuss.
