Welcome back to We’re Not Your Mothers with Barb and Beth! Today, we are still riding a bit of a high from seeing the lovely and hilarious Iliza Shlesinger live and in-person. Iliza is a comedian and if you haven’t seen or heard of her, we highly recommend checking her out or reading her book. In fact, our very own Beth O’Heir got to do a meet-n-greet with the comedian and while Beth’s daughter might have been embarrassed by her mother, it’s always great to meet someone you admire. Of course, it’s not all fun and games because, in this episode, Barb will also share some obstacles she’s been facing at work.

Besides this, we’ll discuss helping kids who are struggling in school, whether it’s beneficial to allow your kids to fail at certain things, and parents who continuously try to get their kids out of things whether it be detention or classes they dislike. Throughout the episode, we’ll also reminisce about when our own children were in school and what we did or didn’t do to help them through.
