Our summer movie series continues with a great underrated surfing movie North Shore starring Matt Adler Greg Harrison. North Shore is a very entertaining and family friendly movie based on surfing, but is actually about a lot more. It's almost criminal how unknown this movie remains. 

Matt Adler plays surfing champ Rick from Arizona who dreams of surfing the big waves of the Banzai Pipeline at Hawaii's North Shore. Rick sets off to Hawaii to pursue his dream but soon finds he in in way over his head in more ways than one. Greg Harrison plays Chandler, a surf board maker from Hawaii, who sees the potential in Rick and teaches him all about surfing through the traditions and philosophy of the Hawaiian culture.

Outstanding performances by John Philbin as Turtle, cameos by a ton of pro-surfers, and very good surfing action makes this film one of my most favorite underrated movies of all time. Enjoy!
