0:24
to us a little bit about the decision for Amway to get behind this race
0:29
again this year. Amway loves the River Bank Run. We are a health
0:33
and wellbeing company. We are hoping that we can help all people live better,
0:37
healthier lives and this is a tremendous opportunity to see that come to life
0:42
right here in West Michigan. And speaking of that, you can sample touch
0:45
everything you want because you got the sport touch my now, yo, will
0:50
you let me finish? Sports and Fitness Expo is coming up today and that's
0:54
packet pickup and a lot of the runners or spectators or fans like to go
0:58
down there. De Voss play a lot an am to eight pm. And the point is there's fifty vendors there now, they're not all Amway vendors,
1:03
but a lot of them are different products and everything to get you ready for
1:07
race day, but also that might be new out on the market. Right.
1:10
Absolutely, there's some fantastic vendors that we saw getting set up yesterday,
1:15
and we'll be down there giving out some of our fitness and wellness products,
1:18
So come down and get a bag of swag from us, and I think
1:21
lots of the other vendors have things to give away. Gazelle was setting up a really cool display yesterday, so there's lots happening, great Riverbank apparel.
1:29
Come down and see what you might be interested in. Russ hines with Riverbank

1:38
race until you picked up the packet, So let's talk about the expo Today
1:42
opens at eleven till eight o'clock tonight, and you may still register today.
1:47
Yes, you can still register for the forty seventh Annuel Amway River Bank Run,
1:49
presented by Fifth Third Bank and Corwall Health, our official health partner.
1:53
Fifth Third will be there today so if you got any banking questions, they
1:56
can answer those for you as well. And Corwall will be there as well
2:00
with doctors and other folks that are to help you answer any questions about nutrition.
2:06
If you need you've got a question about an ailment that's going on, they can help you out with that as well. So, and the other
2:10
thing I want to mention both of you is that this is a free event.
2:14
Like most of the things that happen at the devas places to do something
2:16
to get in, this is free. So if you work downtown or you're
2:20
in the local area and you want to come down and just check it out,
2:23
we'd love to have you. And you can register today for any of
2:27
the events, whether it be the Hometown Pharmacy five k walk, the Amway
2:30
five k, the fox On to ten k, or the fifth Third Bank twenty five k. That's still all available today. Plus we still need volunteers,
2:37
so if you want to come down and volunteer, that would be great. We'd love to have you. And you can also do that online up
2:43
until seven fifty nine tonight. So if you're busy, if you're working,
2:46
can't get to the expo, volunteer or whatever, all online as well.
2:50
Correct, correct, you can still do that. We'll be doing a special
2:53
live broadcast tomorrow morning that starts at six o'clock. Kevin Richards will be there
2:59
as well. You know, we've been talking about construction around downtown Grand Rapids
3:04
for a long time and maybe you don't generally come downtown. You're going to
3:08
be surprised unless you're listening to AM thirteen hundred and one oh six nine FM
3:14
or ninety six to one the game. Russ will be in will Templeton with
3:17
Amway will stop by as well as folks from core Well Health before we cover
3:23
the big race. Any advice to folks who want to come down and park
3:27
and maybe be a spectator or be part of the race as well well.
3:30
I encourage people to do that. Steve, you've run the race and you
3:34
understand the enthusiasm and all the excitement at the start line and all the emotions
3:38
when people cross that finish line as well. But yes, all the parking
3:43
ramps will be open as late as we possibly can as we as we start
3:46
to close streets, whether it be city lots or lslots, you can find
3:51
all the information on street closures and those times on our website, Amwayriverbankrun dot
3:55
com. I've stepped away from running the race. I want to give more
3:59
people the chance to, you know, get the accolades. Then well,
4:02
you know, I mean there's gonna be ten thousand of your friends there tomorrow,
4:05
Steve, so you really should maybe we should think about you coming back
4:09
and running next year. Let's talk about it after the race, as I'm
4:12
mired and the responsibility of anchoring the very important broadcasts. I understand and I
4:15
do encourage everybody to tune in to make sure to get those traffic updates.
4:18
It's really really important. I'll make your life a lot easier. Supervisor of
4:21
Corporate Social Responsibility at Amway, Lindsey Tilly, thank you so much for coming
4:27
in today. Such a pleasure. Russ Hines will talk to you again tomorrow
