With no new episode to discuss, Adam and Scott take a look at Season 2 of True Detective as a whole.  What worked?  What fizzled? Then they turn their minds toward casting and directing possibilities for Season 3.  Along the way, they reference obscure crime films and a novel from John Sayles set in 1897. It’s not the topics. It’s the tangents that make this final episode of the year unique (to say the least).
