Jeminatu Alabi-isama grew up in Boston, Massachusetts. In this chat with Jem, Ben and Dean delve into the path she saw for herself growing up as she moved through school and university. Working in the USA, Africa and now Europe, the skills she picked up outside the classroom really shaped her career.

Through the conversation we find out about Jem’s first experience in Ghana for a year at the age of 6, find out about her career at Google, talk about being a leader even when you’re not a manager and fostering community outside of core roles. Jem also shares why she believes ‘your network is your net worth,’ including insights into how networking happens at Google.
