Nearly 398,000 Canadians have bipolar disorder, and with World Bipolar Day just passing us by on March 30th I felt it was important to shed a light on it. Yollanda Zhang has launched a Live Talk Series on “Lessons from My Bipolar Journey” to help normalize conversations about mental health challenges and reduce stigma for all. She's here to discuss mental health and World Bipolar Day, and to share her insights on how we can all play a part in preventing anyone from feeling like they have to suffer alone.

It took Corinna Chong 15 years to write and release her book The Whole Animal, a collection of short stories that looks at gender roles as they relate to relationships, identity and autonomy in society. Already receiving rave reviews, Corinna joins me to share a little bit of the story behind the book.

The environmental and social impacts that companies like Shein, H&M, and FashionNova have on our environment are disturbing, but even more disturbing is the human toll. Karishma Porwal  is a 25 year old climate educator and activist who has been talking about everything from fast fashion to earth-friendly meal choices on her social media pages since 2020 and joins me today to share what we should all be thinking about when we get dressed each day.
