"God Made Me Do It" - Religiously motivated crimes

This episode, we focus on two cases that captured the nation in 2001, then again in 2004 in Texas, who would eventually become roommates. Dena Schlosser thought she heard the voice of God telling her to cut the arms off of her daughter, Maggie, and then herself.   She was deemed not guilty by reason of insanity, spent time in a mental institution and is now living in Texas, no longer confined by the system.  Was she a victim of the system, or a murderer? Was she insane?   Then we take a look at Andrea Yates who drowned her 5 children in June of that year.  This case isn't quite the same as Dena's.  God didn't exactly tell Andrea to drown her children, but because the man from whom she was getting her spiritual food was giving her poisonous rations, she believed that she was saving her babies from becoming corrupted by the world and dragged to hell by her being a 'jezebel'.  She's still in Kerrville State Hospital, where she is focusing on her health and has no plans to go up for review for release.
