In this episode, I want to untangle your natural creative abilities as a storyteller from all the negative self-beliefs that we keep on repeating. Such as “I’m not talented enough, I don’t have enough money, I’m too old or it’s too late for me.” Shifting negative self-perceptions is not a cake-walk. It takes time, practice and continual action. And most of all, it takes diving into yourself to create as a storyteller. And when I say storyteller, think of that word as an umbrella…and there are dangling strings. And attached to each string are different forms of storytelling…solo-theater, cabaret performer, performance artist, and so on. I will use storytelling interchangeably with solo theater artistry.
