Picture it: it is October 2019, and we’re not afraid to touch. Six women tangle together on a bed in the heat of a New Orleans fall. I peddle in the flesh and in the spirit. I am a preacher, and I am a whore. I move spirits with my body. I tried to escape that life, and could not.
Yet, it turns out, that life—could escape me.
