Hard start for the podcast having lost one of my buddies.  Otis was my 15 year old Jack Russel Terrier and one morning he fell of the couch and dislocated his hip.  My wife and I ran around to from the emergency vet to our own vet to get him healed.  No such luck, I couldn't believe the lack of options for this kind of injury.  In any scenario he would never walk on it again and the quality of life was basically over.   I held him in my arms the entire time and those big brown eye just looked right back at me.
