In 2011, A-lan Holt graduated from Stanford with a degree in CSRE. Ten days later, she moved to New York without a job, determined to realize her passion for playwriting and the arts. She tried flipping an internship into a job, spent time in marketing, was a full-time playwright, and had a daughter. Soon afterwards, she moved back to LA to be with her family and eventually made her way back to the Bay Area. For the last five years she has been the Director of the Institution for Diversity in the Arts at Stanford.
