Description

Who Killed JFK? For 60 years, we are still asking that question. In commemoration of the 60th anniversary of President John F. Kennedy's tragic assassination, legendary filmmaker Rob Reiner teams up with award-winning journalist Soledad O’Brien to tell the history of America’s greatest murder mystery. They interview CIA officials, medical experts, Pulitzer-prize winning journalists, eyewitnesses and a former Secret Service agent who, in 2023, came forward with groundbreaking new evidence. They dig deep into the layers of the 60-year-old question ‘Who Killed JFK?’, how that question has shaped America, and why it matters that we’re still asking it today.

Not impressed. Too much conspiracy and not enough data. Good example is episode two where the head of Kennedy is said to go backwards after being shot, the suggestion is this shows he was shot from the front. What is omitted is that the film shows material exiting the front of JFK's head and then the car speeds up throwing the occupants backwards.
Just the usual round-up of all the old, debunked, conspiracy theories. They all ultimately derive from the Fallacy of Personal Incredulity. Examples: - Kennedy's head going back means he was shot from the front - Wrong; that's movie stuff, bullets don't carry that much momentum. His motion was due to nerve action. - Zapruder film shows Kennedy shot, then Connolly shot - It shows no such thing. Connolly's turning indicates he was already shot. - Single bullet implausible - Not at all. LHO used a high-powered hunting rifle at moderate range. Bullet trajectory and damage is consistent. - Bullet CE339 was "pristine" - False. Look at it from another angle and it is clearly flattened and distorted from the multiple impacts.
