The Columbian Exposition of 1893 is linked to several famous American food brands, including Vienna Beef Hot Dogs and Hershey's Chocolate. But it was also the debut of Aunt Jemima, the famous mascot for the ready-made pancake mix brand. And in the years since, the mascot and the brand have been the topic of controversy.
