Our guest today is best-selling author and writing teacher Laura Davis. In her 30+ year career as an author, Laura has written seven non-fiction books that have changed peoples' lives. Becoming the Parent You Want to Be helps parents develop a vision for the families they want to create. And I Thought We'd Never Speak Again: The Road from Estrangement to Reconciliation teaches the skills of reconciliation and peace building to the world, one relationship at a time.

In this episode we discuss her new memoir, The Burning Light of Two Stars, winner of the BookLife prize for best memoir of 2021, which tells the story of Laura's dramatic and tumultuous relationship with her mother from the time of Laura's birth until her mother's death. 

During our conversation, Laura shares about her own healing journey and her most common tool, writing. She share about how she has used writing to help her navigate and process the healing journey and how she helps others do the same through online classes and international retreats.
