In this episode of WHY DANCE, Abby (she/her) chats with Angelica Stiskin, a choreographer, performer, director and dance educator.
Angelica began assisting professional teachers and choreographers at the age of 14 and pursued her college BFA degree in dance at Marymount Manhattan College.
She has choreographed and directed a piece for New York Fashion Week in collaboration with Louis Vuitton and Parsons School of Design. 
Angelica is an adjunct faculty member at Marymount Manhattan College and was promoted to Artistic Director of the Jazz and Contemporary Program at the Joffrey Ballet School in New York City. 
The two chat about education, bridging the gap between commercial and concert dance and many other interesting topics.
