Paul is suffering from the somnolent effects of an acute case of PDST, that’s Post Daylight Saving Time. He wonders, with all the changes and challenges present in this world, can’t we at least get on the same page as to when the present actually is? He thought that the arrow of time traveled in only one direction, yet here we are grasping that arrow mid-flight and puncturing our shared sense of continuity, causing palpitations of our fragile circadian rhythms. He’s struggled to look on the bright side, to walk on the sunny side of the street; but, goddammit, he hasn’t seen the sunshine in three months!! Can Ryan allay his fatigued vexations? Does time, in fact, heal all wounds?
