In April, 2016, police in Spalding, Lincolnshire (sheer) received numerous reports that 49 year old Liz Edwards and her daughters, 14 year old Kim and 13 year old Katie, had been missing for two days. When they arrived at the Edwards family home, they were greeted by an eerie silence apart from the barking of the Edwards family dog. The police entered the home only to find Kim and her boyfriend, 14 year old Lucas Markham casually hanging out as though nothing was wrong. The police asked Kim where her mother was and she calmly told them that her mom was upstairs. When the police pushed her and asked her why her family had seemingly disappeared for two days, Lucas told them, “Why don’t you go upstairs and see for yourselves.

Police climbed the stairs and entered Liz Edwards room only to find her dead in her bed. The police found a similar scene in Katie’s room. Kim and Lucas were taken into the police station for questioning, and the whole story finally unfolded.
