We live in a world where media and journalism are no longer the gatekeepers to information and the news. Whether it be social media algorithms or the new and diverse landscape of sources to the information, we are living in a new age of journalism.

With this new reality, the business models that existed have been challenged, and as they struggle to adapt, it has weakened professional journalism. Through this pandemic, we are seeing journalists working twice as hard to bring us vital information while being furloughed and losing their jobs.
