We are big fans of spy stories and this one takes it to a whole other level. We loved the show but we still think the CIA wrote the song.
Pretty good stuff. Chasing a conspiracy theory with care and caution. Managed to finish a whole series after quite some time.Wonder how long Spotify will release shows on open feeds though.
Great investigative storytelling. Love the twists and turns of this conspiracy theory and all the crazy connecting of dots. Highly recommend.
So freaking good! Like amazing on so many levels. You really need to stop everything and just listen.
That's how I like my podcasts: well-researched, with a story that's gripping but not over-sensationalised, with depth and multiple pespectives, where the author isn't afraid to ask questions but isn't too easy to jump to conclusions either. And there is a twist, like in any good detective story – the original question turns out less interesting and relevant than what you find out on the way.
I loved it! I never explored conspiracy theories before but I really loved this. Well researched, amazing suspense. Listening to this drove me crazy.
Fascinating, well told story. I was hooked from start to finish.
A must listen mini-series.
Very cool podcast. Did the CIA really wrote a hard rock song that indirectly lead to the fall of the Soviet Union? Or is that just conspiracy theory? To quote from the podcast: "Rabbit holes are beautiful, but they're deep." Vertiginously deep. The premise of Wind of Change is far more fun, and not remotely as harmful as anything QAnon-ish. What I also thoroughly appreciate is the level of self-reflection in the narrative that conspiracy theories generally lack. In this day and age, that's kind of endearing. There's wisdom in being fully aware you're descending into a rabbit hole, and need to come out of it eventually. Bottomline, Wind of Change is a journalistic project made into a podcast. The narrator takes you on an intruiging journey, and does so with a level of intelligence and self-awareness that is thoroughly compelling. Also worth noting is that production and sound are top-notch. So, big thumbs up on all counts. Loved it!
Very well researched and produced podcast, with a lot of first hand interviews of the people involved. The plot is close to a conspiracy theory but the makers give enough circumstantial evidence and similar cases to turn it in a case you can believe in.
Loved the series. Big fan of the Scorpions. Well worth a listen, if just for the exploits of Doc McGhee, who managed EVERYBODY in the 80s.
Really interesting and engaging documentary podcast. Well researched and some great interviews - did they or didn't they???. 2 bonus episodes are well worth a listen also.
