Montepulciano is both a grape varietal and a city. Yet the city is located in Tuscany, where they largely don’t grow the varietal. You have to move further east, to Abruzzo, to find the varietal in all of its glory. It’s a very confusing yet extremely delicious episode this week focusing on the wine’s that got Scott deep into wine and has now become a new favorite for Anne.
