The Momentum Replay Series replays our top episodes so that you have the chance to catch episodes you missed, and refresh on others. The idea is to support you more regularly as you take charge of 2023 (through whatever challenges may arise). Here's to health, wealth and wisdom on this heartfelt path of yours.

In this episode I interview Leah Hague, Research Fellow and PhD Candidate.

I first heard Leah speak at a training for psychologists in supporting people through COVID19 (and the move to working from home) using what we know about the beneficial effects of nature. I LOVED the training and knew we needed to get her on Wisdom for Wellbeing so that you could soak up this wisdom too. Leah does a brilliant job of sharing the science and the practical strategies that you can implement to improve your wellbeing by making use of nature’s healing. So, perhaps put your earbuds in and head out the door and around the block as you listen, or at least change your screen saver to a nature picture if you’re still doing some work at your desk.

>>How spending time in our natural environment as opposed to a built environment can help people think of themselves as part of a bigger whole, a human being interconnected with other beings

>>For Occupational Health, connecting with nature while at work can increase productivity and job satisfaction – this can be through taking a walk in nature during a lunch break, having a look outside the window, or even having a plant on the desk

>>How taking micro-breaks in nature can contribute to well-being as well as pro-social behaviour

>>How natural environments containing a body of water, like the beach, a waterfall, or a lake, can have restorative benefits
