Today's guest is Courttia Newland, Courttia is the author of seven books including The Scholar, Snakeskin and The Gospel According to Cane. His forthcoming novel A River Called Time publishes in January 2021. As a screenwriter, he has written episodes of Steve McQueen’s recent BBC series Small Axe.


In this episode Courttia and Pragya talk about surrounding your children with a racial foundation, so they are aware of where they come from, their heritage and history. They also discuss what change will look like when it comes and the role the arts play in that.
