On today’s episode, Patti is joined by the University of Chicago Director of Athletics & Recreation, Erin McDermott.

Erin’s career began as one of the first NACWAA interns, which she calls an invaluable experience that propelled her professional career. Soon after her internship, she landed her first job in the industry at Columbia University, then moved on to Princeton before becoming an athletic director herself.

Listen in as Erin talks about what it takes to advance from within, managing up, building relationships both in and out of college athletics, and the power in finding your voice.
