Our educational system is only designed to prepare you for one thing in life; programming.  From the moment we enter school, we are programmed to make good grades, go to college, get a good job, get married, work 40 years, retire, and live happily ever after. There are some people who don’t quite make it that far and break the glass on the conventions of life. Today’s guest is one of those people.  Ramon Casaus started his professional life in college, and got a job, only to find that like many people, he wasn’t living in alignment with his life.  In 2015, Ramon got his license.  This changed the trajectory of his life which opened options, secured him financially, and helped him launch into building newfound freedom and the balance found in working for himself.  Not long after, Ramon became an investor and serial entrepreneur investing in various businesses across various industries.

In this episode, Patrick and Ramon discuss the power of reaching optimal levels and going in search of what’s next.  Ramon talks about certain characteristics that only exist in overachievers.  He talks about how he found his drive and motivation by being tired of being broke.  He shares how as he began to grow, he realized he was needing to grow his circle of friends and some of the new challenges he faced at each level of success. Patrick and Ramon share a common bond in having completed #75Hard and the effects it’s had on their individual lives.  Ramon is a best-selling author and host of the Battle-Tested Business Podcast.

Favorite Quote:

You have to remove what society’s expectations on when you should sleep, when you should work, when you shouldn’t, what gets discussed at the dinner table. That’s whatever you want to do.  I don’t care what my neighbor does.  I’ll drive home and get right back on my computer.  I have a lot of work-life balance.  You have to remove the external noise on how you run your life and run it however it works for you.”

How to Get Involved:

Patrick Bolanos is a serial entrepreneur, business owner, and CEO of Trailer King Builders in Houston, Texas.

He was raised in Nicaragua, exposed to extreme poverty, and also had the fortune of being exposed to life in the United States traveling back and forth to both countries.

After college, Patrick’s career took him into the corporate world of banking where he learned the important lessons of understanding what you’re selling and why it’s important to believe in it.

Back in December of 2017, Patrick was fired from his job as a CFO for a Restaurant Group.  With only $500 to his name, rent due, his wife, 3 children at home, and one on the way, he was forced to figure out how to pull his family out of this financial abyss that was strangling his life.

With no knowledge of how to build a trailer, Patrick simply figured all of it out and has now built it into the thriving empire of what’s now become Trailer King Builders.
