A four game win streak has come to an end,
0:07
but the Washington football team is still very
0:09
much in playoff contention. I'm Jane
0:11
Kenny and joining me as always Stephane
0:13
Jokin and Jamine Samuel's And this
0:15
is the whow brought to you by Fresh Fine
0:17
Wine, Washington, Fault Heart, and Sell
0:20
Short. But it's not over yet. Most
0:22
definitely, it is not over
0:24
yet. It never is with the Washington football team.
0:27
But coming up later on Wow, it is
0:29
our home field. We are going to
0:31
talk to Brianna Way, the Washington
0:33
football team punter's Truss Way's wife.
0:36
Such an amazing conversation. You definitely
0:38
want to stick around for that one. And then we
0:40
also have congratulations
0:42
in order as it relates to the Pro
0:44
Bowl for twenty twenty one. Yeah,
0:46
that's right. We want to say congrats to Brandon
0:49
Sheriff and Chase Young, both voted
0:51
into Pro Bowl twenty twenty one. Yeah.
0:55
I have to say so exciting. In two
0:57
thousand and four, I represented the first ladies
0:59
of football at the Pro Bowl, So this is
1:02
such an amazing honor and I'm
1:04
super excited for the two of them. Then
1:06
let's not forget to mention that the Chase
1:08
Young is the youngest in the Washington's
1:11
franchise history to be voted in, so huge
1:13
congratulations are in order for both of them.
1:15
Let's quickly talk about the Seattle
1:17
game. Well, my thought is we already
1:20
knew Seattle was going to be a tough team. They've been
1:22
the playoffs the last eight years. But
1:24
we held them to twenty points,
1:27
which shows us even more that we are
1:29
on our way as a team. I
1:31
think this law still shows that we
1:33
are building something here at Washington Football
1:36
most definitely. And you know, we knew Russell
1:38
Wilson was it was going to be a difficult one
1:40
and he showed his skills,
1:43
but we did our best to hold them and like you
1:45
said, held them to just twenty points. But
1:47
ultimately, I feel like the turnovers are
1:49
really what kind of hurt us in this game. And
1:52
we just again started too
1:55
slow at the very beginning of the game. I mean,
1:57
we obviously turned it up during
1:59
the second half, but it was at that point too late.
2:02
Yeah, and we need, you know, we need our offense
2:05
to show up. Defense can go out there
2:07
and score two touchdowns like they have, they can't always
2:09
come through. They're very good, but they can't.
2:11
They can't be the one thing that we rely on. So we really
2:14
need our offense to show up as we
2:16
head into the Panthers game. And speaking
2:18
of that, coach Ron Rivera's proudly announced that
2:20
this team is relevant again, and I
2:22
believe the league agrees with that that if
2:24
you haven't heard, the game has moved from the one pm
2:27
spot to the four PM spot. It is Showdown
2:29
Sunday. This game is huge.
2:32
There is a lot on the line. Check
2:34
out what coach Ron Rivera said about his former
2:36
team and this organization right now. It's more
2:38
important than than you
2:40
know, my personal uh situation.
2:43
And I mean that because we got
2:45
you know, we got fifty three guys downstairs and
2:48
a group of coaches that you know, we
2:50
want to get into the playoffs. They want to get into playoffs
2:53
them and we want to do it for them and for
2:55
us. So we have to focus in on the game. Like
2:57
he said, this is not a revenge game.
3:00
But we all know when you're playing against
3:02
your former employer, if you're seeing your X
3:05
whatever it, maybe you want to show them
3:07
what they are missing out on. So he might
3:09
say that, but this game, even
3:11
if clenching the division wasn't on the line.
3:14
This is a huge game. It is a huge
3:16
game, and you know, just another thought
3:18
how he said, we just need to win our games
3:21
and control our own destiny. I'm
3:23
ready for us to go to the playoffs. I'm
3:25
ready for Giants to lose to the Ravens and
3:28
possibly even play the Bucks or even
3:30
would be better face off with Seattle again
3:32
to beat their butts. And this Sunday,
3:34
if they play without Christian McCaffrey
3:37
as they have for much of this year, I think that opens
3:39
up more opportunities for us as well. Yeah,
3:42
and I think just at the end of the day, we're going to go in
3:44
extremely excited about this. We need to grab
3:47
the win. I feel like the team is going to
3:49
kind of rally behind coach Rivera and want
3:51
to get this win for him. And I know
3:53
it's not revenge, but like you said, like when
3:55
you see your X or when you see you
3:57
know that girl that's been hating on you, you want to
3:59
look your best, you want to show out, you want to
4:01
show up. And I think at the same time that's going to
4:03
be the case for the Washington football team. They really
4:06
want to make sure that not only this team
4:08
but all teams really understand and know that just
4:10
because we lost last weekend doesn't mean that we're
4:12
a losing team, and that we're here to fight and we're
4:14
here to claim our spot. And I think that
4:16
that's what's going to happen, and
4:19
it would just be such a full circle
4:22
moment and such a great little end to
4:24
the season just to clench
4:26
the NFC East title against
4:28
the Carolina Panthers. I mean, with everything
4:31
that's happened this year, this is just such a story
4:33
book ending and it's really going to be a big
4:35
game. But I have no doubts.
4:37
I really think, like you said, that the team
4:40
they enjoy We've seen it, they enjoy it being the
4:42
underdog. They enjoy the pressure, and they have
4:44
no quit in them. They have zero quit.
4:47
And you know, if they're gonna they're gonna come
4:49
with that revenge, they're gonna come with wanting to
4:51
taste that victory and to prove everybody wrong
4:53
and to prove that they're relevant. So I really think
4:55
that we're going to get it, and that we're gonna have a lot to
4:58
be excited for and sell right now, only
5:00
because it's the holidays, but to be celebrating being
5:02
at number one in the nfc US and going into playoffs.

6:54
Welcome to well Home Field, brought to you by
6:56
Fresh Fine Wine. Today we have joining us
6:58
Sprian Away, the wife of Watchington football
7:00
hunter Truss Way. Brianna was born
7:03
and raised in southern California and attendant college
7:05
at the University of Oklahoma, where she met her
7:07
husband, Trust isn't the only one
7:09
that can fall. Brianna was a two
7:11
sports start Oklahoma, a defender for the Sooners
7:13
soccer team and an outfielder for the schools softball
7:16
team. She played in three College World Series, was
7:18
a second team All American, and was drafted
7:20
ninth over on twenty thirteen National
7:23
Pro Fast Pitched Draft. She's
7:25
a registered nurse, but put her career on Paul stay
7:27
at home with her three under three, I
7:29
repeat three under three, beautiful
7:31
children, Bo, Harper and Hadley. Wow,
7:34
I'm sure you're not busy at all, Brianna, Now,
7:39
just ample time. I'm sure right,
7:42
she's our next draft pick. Well,
7:46
Brianna, welcome to the Wow. We
7:48
joked that you're a little nervous and we
7:51
want to just tell you have nothing to worry about. So
7:53
to ease those nerves and
7:55
just to kind of ease on into it, We're gonna start with
7:57
a quick game of this or that, playing
8:00
Truss or Brianna. You game do
8:02
it? Okay? First question? Who
8:05
is better at ping pong? Oh?
8:08
Triss, I'm terrible. I'm
8:11
so bad. I've tried and I just
8:14
hit it off the table every time. So
8:17
yes, definitely him. All
8:19
right, and then we heard through the rumorville
8:22
that you all like the Bachelorette?
8:25
So who likes the Bachelorette more? Wow?
8:29
I'm not sure about that one because I would
8:31
say me, But then I mean
8:33
Triss recently has been like, hey,
8:35
are we watching the Bachelorette tonight? So
8:39
I don't know. I've been watching it for longer, so
8:41
I think I'm going to give that one to me, But trist
8:44
is pretty close. He's a
8:46
close second. Got it all
8:48
right? So I know it's COVID, So this is conningbird,
8:51
But normally, which one of you loves nights
8:53
in instead for date night? Oh?
8:56
Um? Probably me? I
8:59
love I would just love sitting
9:01
downstairs watching a movie cuddling
9:04
up. And I mean he enjoys
9:06
that too, but he definitely likes to go out
9:08
and do things. So yep,
9:12
so we've heard you give him some pep talks, so
9:15
we want to know who talks more football at home.
9:19
As funny as this sounds, we don't talk a ton
9:22
of football. He's
9:24
really really great about kind
9:26
of leaving it out like
9:29
on the field, if I mean good
9:31
games, bad games. Obviously we talk about it a
9:33
little bit, but I wouldn't
9:35
say that we talk much about football at
9:40
the house, at least I mean with my
9:42
kids now that they're getting a little bit older
9:44
to understand it's fun to like watch
9:46
the TV and be like, there's daddy
9:49
and like we get to talk about that. But other
9:52
than that, I mean, we don't talk
9:54
too much about it, which is probably surprising,
9:57
but yeah, I don't know, that's just kind
9:59
of how we do it. Wait, I
10:01
have to add something you need who who
10:03
laughed more about his tackle at
10:05
the last game? Oh my gosh,
10:09
Um, I don't know. It's more of what
10:11
what are you doing? Why did you do that? He's
10:14
like, I'm not gonna allow to go come on, but
10:18
no, we always joke with them about that stuff.
10:20
We're like, come on, you're a hunter. You don't need to be tackling
10:22
people here. So
10:25
that's awesome. But he's a team player
10:28
too, so yeah, I respected
10:30
it, So kudos. It's find
10:32
to watch. But I definitely am like, whoa, you
10:34
better be careful now, All
10:40
right now, we mentioned it earlier. Three
10:42
kids under three, Um, you
10:44
all nail kind of top football with the
10:46
kids. But let's let's let's keep it real.
10:48
Who is like more strict on the
10:51
kiddos. Honestly, me, um,
10:55
I think I am. Um,
10:57
he kind of just I
11:00
don't know. I think he was raised more like
11:02
in a family that was very open
11:05
to like, oh, whatever, it's good, it will it's
11:07
fine. They broke this, it's fine, And I'm like, no,
11:10
wait, why did you just why did
11:12
you just throw this and hit the wall
11:15
and make a dent in it? Like, I
11:17
don't know. I'm probably definitely more of
11:19
the strict one, but he
11:21
laighs down the law, but I'm usually
11:24
the one that's kind of like, no, we're
11:26
not going to do that right the
11:29
law, but you actually enforce it. Got
11:35
we're gonna go back to college here? Who
11:37
got better grades? I definitely
11:40
didst
11:44
trust. He is so funny
11:46
because he's so smart, and he
11:48
was just like, all right, I just need
11:50
a sea to pass, so like
11:53
that's kind of what I'm gonna get. But um
11:55
and me, I kind of had to do good because
11:57
I wanted to go to nursing school afterwards, and
12:00
so I would have to say
12:02
me on that one, got it, Okay,
12:05
so we're gonna you made it through this or that. We're
12:07
gonna wrap up this little warm up round with a
12:09
question. You mentioned you guys are huge country
12:12
music fans, so I want to ask, what is
12:15
either you and trust this country song
12:17
or a song that you guys
12:19
enjoy with the family that's country. Wow,
12:22
Well, woot Cones has
12:25
so many hits right now, so we're really into
12:27
glut Cones right now. I'm trying
12:29
to think for
12:31
our first stance for our wedding, we did Damn
12:34
Baby by Florida Georgia Line, which
12:36
so I think that probably would be considered
12:38
our songs. Yeah,
12:40
a good choice.
12:44
And now much shift gears a little bit. This
12:46
is obviously our holiday
12:48
episode, and so I just I'm kind
12:50
of curious. I mean, you have a growing family,
12:53
there's probably tons of fun and laughter
12:55
in the house, So what are your holiday
12:57
traditions? What do you all do? And I would say, like
13:00
pre covid, like you know, obviously
13:02
this year is going to be different for us all,
13:05
but what does just the typical Christmas
13:07
and the holiday season look like in your home? So
13:09
we actually stole this one from
13:11
the McCoy's, but
13:14
we call it thirty for thirty and so we
13:16
all go into Target and we have
13:18
thirty dollars and thirty minutes
13:21
to fill up a stocking and
13:23
it's actually really funny because we
13:25
are allowed to use like our Target gift
13:28
or our Target cards where like it gets
13:30
five percent off, and so
13:32
if you don't have one, I mean, that kind of stinks.
13:34
But anyway, it's actually funny
13:37
because last year Tress
13:39
went right over the thirty dollars
13:42
and if you go over, our rule is that
13:44
you have to exchange or take
13:46
something back, and so he
13:49
had to return a pack of gum because
13:51
he went right over thirty dollars.
13:53
So it's just it's fun
13:55
because we get really competitive of like who
13:58
got closer to thirty dollars, and then
14:00
it's also hilarious when you see
14:03
someone just like in
14:05
the return return
14:08
area returning something like gum. So
14:11
that's one of our traditions that pre
14:14
COVID we usually had family come
14:16
in town for that, but
14:18
now I think we're just gonna have to stick to us
14:20
to this year. So that's
14:23
so funny. Yes, so we
14:25
heard that Trust came up with his own trivia
14:27
game. Can you explain that? Okay?
14:30
So Trust is probably one
14:32
of the most creative people
14:34
I've ever met. Honestly, it's crazy. He
14:36
can come up with like even with our kids,
14:38
like comes up with the most fun
14:41
games just off the top of his head. It's so much
14:43
fun. But all
14:45
the guys like when in their free time,
14:48
they would just have trust. Like he
14:50
asked some questions. I think it started off with like
14:53
football or something, and he asked some
14:55
of his teammates some questions, and
14:57
they just kept asking him all the time,
14:59
like, hey, dude, give me another question, give me another
15:01
question. And he's like all about like
15:04
fun twenty four to seven. So he would
15:06
look up on his downtime at
15:08
the facility just all these random
15:11
questions and it ended up turning into like this
15:13
board game and we got it made
15:15
and then they did like a segment on ESPN
15:18
and it sold out in like one minute.
15:20
It was so awesome. But yes,
15:22
so yes, he did make a game.
15:25
And we sometimes will get texts from
15:27
family or friends and been like, oh, we're
15:29
playing the game tonight. So but it's
15:31
really fun. So are y'all
15:33
making more games? If it's sold bad? Oh,
15:38
he's kind of now with all the football
15:40
stuff. It took a lot of time to do
15:42
that, and so one of his best friends is
15:44
helping him out, but they haven't got anything
15:47
set now. We do have a few games,
15:50
but I don't really quite know
15:53
his plan. I think I try and push
15:55
him to be like, Okay, come on, just like make
15:57
some more games, and I think he's just I
16:00
don't know. He's like, hey, we have a family
16:02
now, and just takes so much
16:04
time up So we'll see what he ends up doing.
16:06
But you're
16:08
a little business weird now, it's
16:11
a little bit busy. Oh
16:14
well, Brianna. I've been cheering for six seasons,
16:16
and one of my most distinct game day
16:19
memories, which just feels like game day, is hearing them say
16:21
trust Way punts it away, Like I can't imagine
16:23
a game day without hearing that. I
16:25
just want to ask you, like, it's been a really weird year
16:27
obviously and just a different, unprecedented
16:29
football season. What do game days look
16:32
like for you right now? For
16:35
man? For us, we I
16:39
have a ritual with the kids now, we get game
16:41
day donuts, So in the morning I take them
16:43
to Dunkin Donuts and we usually
16:46
will talk about like, oh, Daddy's gonna
16:48
play on TV. I always getting prepared, you
16:50
know. I don't really think they quite
16:53
understand, but sometimes when
16:55
they show his face, they're like wait, that's
16:58
dad. But at first
17:00
they like anytime someone would kick a
17:02
ball, they had thought it was trust so
17:05
but now I just kind of like prep
17:07
them, like, Okay, Daddy's about to kick it, and
17:09
I try to keep them up
17:11
for at least one punt before I put
17:14
them down for a nap. But sometimes that doesn't
17:16
work. But anyways, we just do that.
17:19
I always try and text Tress that we're
17:21
watching and good luck, and usually
17:23
I sent him a video of the kids saying
17:26
good luck to him and stuff. And then I
17:29
usually take that time to
17:31
watch the game and just sit on our couch
17:33
and watch it in peace
17:35
and quiet because I hardly ever get that.
17:37
So normally they're napping during
17:40
his game, so it kind of works out. Goods
17:43
up this week game moving to nap time
17:45
at fort but hopefully they'll be able
17:47
to watch it. Yeah, for sure. So
17:51
let's talk a little bit about that. Though. You had mentioned
17:54
in one of your responses for this or that
17:56
that you got the better grades because you were
17:58
looking to get into nursing, and now
18:00
obviously you've you know, kind of put that career path
18:02
on hold a little bit. You've made the decision, you know,
18:05
to be an amazing full time mom, which is
18:07
most definitely a full time job
18:09
in and of itself. We you know, I definitely
18:11
understand and know that just based off of my sisters
18:13
and friends. But how did you navigate
18:16
and make that decision to really just
18:18
decide, Hey, I'm gonna put you know, my
18:20
career on hold and really focused on
18:22
my family. What advice would you have for others
18:24
that might be struggling with that decision? Making
18:26
that decision that was hard for me because growing
18:28
up, my mom stayed home with
18:31
us, and some of my best memories
18:33
were when she was home with us, and
18:36
so I think I grew up kind of wanting
18:38
to stay
18:40
at home with the kids. And then
18:42
I started my dream job. I
18:44
loved it so much, and so I kind
18:46
of like, before we started thinking about having kids,
18:49
I was kind of like, maybe
18:52
I do want to stay working a little
18:54
bit, at least part time, Like I think it'd
18:56
be fun, and so
18:58
Trust and I just had really deep conversations
19:00
once I actually got pregnant, and
19:04
and I think ultimately we decided
19:07
like, right now, especially with
19:09
his schedule, me being at
19:11
home with the kids would just be best for
19:13
our lifestyle. And we get to go
19:15
home and see family, and if I was working,
19:18
I'd be a little bit tougher to do that. And
19:21
so I just think that, like I
19:24
truly believe that you are
19:26
where you're supposed to be for your family,
19:28
and whether that's at home with your
19:30
kids or you working, And
19:32
I think that just doing
19:34
the best at what you're doing in
19:36
that moment, Like I said, whether it's at
19:38
home with the kids or working, that's what's
19:41
best for your family. And I think just
19:43
having serious conversations with your
19:45
spouse about what you think is
19:47
best is kind
19:50
of I think the best way to go about it.
19:52
So yeah,
19:55
love that, love that advice, Like you are
19:57
where you're supposed to be, and that's you know,
20:00
perfect timing, and that's exactly where you're supposed
20:02
to be. Absolutely like that. I
20:04
know we're running out of time, So I think
20:06
I just have one last question for you. I
20:09
like what you said, and so if you had a
20:11
chance to tell your younger self something,
20:14
what advice would you give your younger self? Wow,
20:20
life definitely doesn't look
20:23
like you thought it would. I always
20:26
look at trust and say, if you
20:28
would have looked at me and told me, like
20:31
we're gonna get married, moved to Virginia,
20:34
like what and didn't
20:36
have twins, and
20:40
then another one shortly after.
20:43
I probably would have cracked up in his
20:45
face and then like, no, you're lying.
20:47
You know. It's just crazy, like life,
20:50
never way that you envision
20:53
it, but it always ends up working
20:55
out and being so much better than
20:57
you could have ever possibly imagine.
21:00
And I'm just thankful that, like
21:04
how how our life ended up, I'm
21:06
just so thankful for it because I probably
21:09
it probably would have scared me out of
21:11
making decisions if I knew what was ahead
21:13
of me. So but
21:15
that's probably the advice I would get myself.
21:18
I love it. You have such a light when
21:21
you talk about your family and him, so it's
21:23

We are heading into a holiday edition
23:51
of Overtime. Happy Holiday
23:53
to all of our while listeners, and I thought
23:55
it'd be fun to kick
23:57
it off with a couple holiday questions for my co host.
24:00
I totally missed the memo when wearing the
24:02
Tacki holiday sweaters, but I'm
24:04
in green set up again. I
24:07
wait, the bigger setup is that I
24:10
wasn't going for Tackie. But that's okay,
24:13
I think myself by saying a holiday
24:15
sweater, I was like, oh, shoot,
24:17
maybe that's just hot. Anyway,
24:21
let's just move right along. So
24:24
a couple of holiday questions I have, and I'll
24:26
start with you, Stephanie, to work on my brownie points.
24:29
What is your favorite
24:31
way to spend the holidays? Oh
24:33
my gosh, it's just time with family.
24:36
But the boys and I my sons, we watched
24:39
the classic Roodolf the Red Nosed Reindeer
24:41
movie every year. I can't. I just love
24:43
the island of the Misfit toys, the
24:45
elf who wants to be a dentist instead of
24:47
an elf are narrated
24:49
by burl Ives. It's such a classic and
24:51
we watch it every year and we love it. So that's
24:54
what we do, and then we make cookies for Santa, and
24:56
carrots are given for the reindeer. I
24:59
have a fun fact about that, and I'm
25:01
going to give a plug to Netflix. But my favorite
25:04
holiday movie is Elf. And if
25:06
you haven't seen it on Netflix, there is the
25:09
movies that made us and it kind of goes behind
25:11
the scenes and talks about the movies, and ELF was
25:13
actually based on loosely
25:16
on the classic Rudolph Rendo's
25:18
radio, so I you
25:21
haven't. If you're into documentaries and you want a holiday
25:23
spin on it, definitely check that out on Netflix.
25:26
But Ginie, what is your favorite way to spend the holidays?
25:29
Pretty much the same. It's all about family.
25:31
So I have two sisters on both of
25:33
them married with kids, so I am the favorite
25:36
aunt Nane that my nieces and nephews
25:38
fight over every holiday. So I actually
25:41
alternate. So every like
25:43
Christmas Eve, I'm at one sister's
25:45
house with their family and then
25:47
bring in Christmas with them, and
25:49
then I swap the following
25:52
Christmas. And I have to make sure that I do
25:54
a fair swap because my nieces and will
25:57
remind you, no, you were at Sadie's
26:00
last Christmas, we get you this Christmas.
26:02
So it's kind of fun. I'm being wanted
26:06
one Christmas Day and then after
26:08
like the big you know, Christmas Day, we
26:10
always go to my father's house in Richmond,
26:12
Virginia, and he cooks up a huge, huge
26:14
meal for all of us, and my father's side
26:16
of the family gathers there, and then
26:19
a couple days later we head north to Fredericksburg,
26:21
where my mom's side of the family is, so we end up
26:23
having you know, two to three to four,
26:25
you know, holiday meals on every
26:28
single Christmas. So I absolutely love it. I'm
26:31
gonna go to your house meals.
26:35
What about you, Jade, You didn't share what your
26:38
favorite holiday tradition is. So
26:41
my mom since
26:43
she was a little girl, I guess they always watched a
26:45
Christmas Story, which plays for twenty
26:47
four hours I think on as a TBS. So
26:49
I think my most distinct memory is
26:52
just always watching that with my family,
26:54
like literally for a full
26:57
day. And then we used to go to this old
26:59
general store that's recently closed
27:01
down, but it's an old general store in my hometown, and
27:03
everyone kind of gathers and sings Christmas
27:05
Carol. So it's a very special
27:07
memory and probably where like my love for entertainment
27:09
came from, because I would just be up there behind my mom, like
27:12
dancing on Christmas to White
27:14
Christmas, trying to get jazzy. But
27:17
this year, I'm sure, like many of us, it's going to look a little
27:19
different due to being safe
27:21
and healthy. So this year I actually will not be
27:23
traveling, so it'll be a different Christmas,
27:26
just trying to keep family safe. But
27:29
I'm this is the first year that I've been in my
27:32
new home, so I'll be making my first
27:34
year making my own Christmas traditions here in
27:36
my home, so it'll be different. But I
27:39
think, like we've said, this entire year twenty twenty
27:41
has really showed us what is important,
27:43
and you kind of strip everything down and people are being
27:45
vulnerable, and that is no different for Christmas.
27:48
My mom jokes that will celebrate next
27:50
weekend because Christmas can be any
27:52
day and any time of the year. It's just about being
27:54
with family. So like it's such a
27:56
good point for everyone to remember because
27:58
I know, you know, like I said, what I always look
28:00
forward to is seeing all of my family, and it's the exact
28:03
same for us, Like I am going to my sister's house
28:05
in Richmond, but then we're only having
28:07
a small group of people at my dad's and that's
28:09
it. And so we just have to remember
28:11
that, you know, not this this year, but
28:13
we have next year and the next year after that. And to your
28:15
point, we can celebrate Christmas in March if we
28:17
want to. Yep. Absolutely,
28:20
I'm keeping the tree up. I might keep the tree up all
28:22
year, maybe Christmas all well,
28:26
seventy Speaking of ways to get
28:28
back in the holidays, is there anything at WOW? How's going
28:30
on? Sure? So Washington Football
28:33
is doing the Season of Giving and so one
28:35
of the things that WOW is getting behind is
28:37
nominate your hero of twenties twenty
28:40
and so there's a form that you can fill out, but
28:42
just who helped you through this year. It
28:44
could be a first responder,
28:47
it could be your mom, it could be anybody, But who
28:49
helped you get through this year? Who is the unsung
28:51
hero of twenty twenty? And then of course
28:53
we're doing a pledge to play for
28:55
our game coming up. You can pledge
28:58
one to fifty dollars for any amazing
29:00
play that we do, which will do many. So
29:02
if you want to wait and see how we do before
29:05
you pledge, you have until eleven fifty
29:07
nine on the evening of the twenty seven so
29:10
great things that we're doing as Washington Football.
29:13
I love that you can nominate you
29:15
know, any hero, like anyone that is
29:17
a hero to you and to your part, because
29:20
I say, I think sometimes we forget that you can be
29:22
a hero to someone else. You don't have to be
29:25
in the military or be a policeman
29:27
or you know. So like for me, it's definitely
29:30
my dad. He's, you know, one of my best friends,
29:32
and I go to him and probably talk to him to think about
29:34
things that he really doesn't want to hear about.
29:37
And then for twenty twenty, I have to say
29:39
Jay, Like, my boyfriend, Jay has really
29:41
gotten me through COVID
29:44
and being home alone because he's been
29:46
able to come and spend time with me here and
29:48
it's just been nice to have, you
29:51
know, your best friend kind of in the house with
29:53
you, even if you're doing absolutely
29:55
nothing. Yep,
29:58
so true. Yeah, And I'm going to nominate
30:01
both of you and Stevie because having this
30:03
podcast has been something that has definitely
30:05
gotten me through Just to have this weekly even
30:07
virtually, just have this weekly place to escape
30:10
and to talk about empowerment in the Washington football
30:12
team it is. It is definitely something that has
30:14
been a gift this year. With that
30:16
that's going to do it for us. Thank you so much for joining
30:18
the WOW connecting empower women through sports.
