Hello and welcome to the Wow Connected and Empowering
0:06
Women through Sports, brought to you by our partners
0:08
Fresh Fine Wine. I'm Jade Kenney
0:10
and joining me as always are my co host
0:12
Stephens Jokin and Janine Samuels. Hello
0:14
ladies, Hey leving
0:19
up. In segment two, we are chatting with Lieutenant
0:21
General Jody Daniels in honor of this Sunday's
0:23
game against the Giants, being our salute to service.
0:26
She has more than thirty six years of active
0:28
and reserve military service and recently
0:30
assumed the role of Chief of Army Reserve and Commanding
0:32
General for the US Army Reserve Command.
0:34
And her civilian career, Daniels was the director
0:37
of Advanced Programs for Lockee Martin's Advanced
0:39
Technology Laboratories. She gets it all around,
0:41
a WOW woman and a true American hero
0:44
role model. Stick around for that that's coming up,
0:46
but first let's chat about this game that's
0:48
coming up. We are coming off a bye week and heading
0:51
into a big rematch against the New York Giants.
0:53
Quick refresher in case you missed it. We lost twenty
0:56
twenty to nineteen after Rivero
0:58
Ron went for two on the gambled denied playout.
1:01
It's a big divisional rematch, and let's not forget
1:03
the NFCS is still up for grabs. After
1:05
watching Monday football, I'm not gonna lie.
1:07
I'm a little nervous. I don't think it's going to be a kid
1:09
walk anymore. The Giants overall looks pretty
1:11
good. What do you guys think, Well,
1:14
yeah, we're rested. Hey bye
1:16
week. You know I'll give us that right
1:18
there. Yeah,
1:20
I mean you're right, so we are restis I think
1:22
that that's to our advantage. The Giants, they
1:25
did look pretty good, right, but they lost
1:27
at the end of the day, and ironically
1:29
they lost because they couldn't get the two point
1:32
conversions to tie the game. Meanwhile, when we played
1:34
them last we couldn't get the two point conversions
1:36
to get the win. So I just thought that
1:38
that was kind of interesting last night I was watching
1:40
the game. But I think overall, we just
1:42
have to get after Daniel Jones. Like, we have
1:45
one of the best four front four
1:47
on our defense in the NFL and the
1:49
Giants have i'm pretty much a bottom
1:51
tier offensive line. So we've got to use this matchup
1:54
to our advantage. We've got to put pressure on Daniels
1:56
and force some turnovers and then we obviously
1:58
have to convert on those turnout. So I think it's very
2:00
doable for us. I think it's coble.
2:03
And also, yes, Daniel Jones, I
2:05
mean he can throw some dimes. Let's not take that away
2:07
from him or just credit him, but he's turnover
2:09
machine. Jones has onceptions
2:11
in the first twenty one starts as well. You
2:13
know, I'm gonna say it, I feel like we
2:15
have another Kendlefuller pit coming this
2:18
weekend. Absolutely, And
2:20
I just you know, Coach
2:22
Rivera talked about the yaha moments that happened
2:24
at our last game, that things are clicking
2:27
and the and the players are finally like, oh yeah,
2:29
that's what you wanted us to do. And so I
2:31
just want more of those moments, more awesome
2:34
Logan Thomas moments. I think he is just
2:36
growing and growing here with us. And then
2:38
obviously, Terry McLaurin, you got to get him that ball
2:40
because good things usually happen when he gets the ball.
2:44
Yeah, and Gibson too, right, So I just feel
2:46
like, you know, putting him in the passing
2:48
game, line him up out wide, match
2:50
him up one on one with the linebacker. I'm Gibson
2:53
will win that matchup more
2:55
times than not. So I think there's a lot of
2:58
opportunities coming up and
3:00
I'm looking for the W. We need to get that W
3:02
because I know we all debated the
3:05
last time when we were talking about Giants on whether
3:07
or not they should have gone for the extra point
3:09
and what they should have done. And I think
3:11
at the end of the day we were disappointed for that
3:14
loss. But now we have the chance
3:16
to get the win and we just need to do it. Yeah,
3:18
we controlled the ball that whole second half,
3:21
so we just control the ball again,
3:23
get off quick and we've got
3:25
this. Yeah, and it's time. I mean Jones
3:28
is through, you know, against us, like he
3:30
thinks he's got a pretty pretty much in the
3:32
bag, and I think we showed especially with
3:34
um I mean Chase Young. But we have the pressure me
3:37
col holcome, we'll come to step up, Like we need
3:39
to add that pressure because he is quick
3:41
to extend plays. He wants to be the
3:43
playmaker, and that's why we see a lot of those picks
3:45
because he's trying to be that guy
3:48
and unfortunately he might not be and
3:50
he can't be this weekend so we really need our defense
3:52
to step up and create that pressure and make
3:54
sure that we get our win against
3:56
the Giants and take take the division. This
3:59
year, it's up for grabs to anybody's
4:01
game. There's a lot of fresh teams out there
4:04
and we're seeing it. And like you said, brom
4:06
Rivera's teams are notorious for being
4:08
a second half of the season team and
4:11
like you said, it's all should be clicking. And we decided
4:13
to watch this matchup. Yeah, and we're
4:15
gonna have some fans yay, I'll
4:18
be there, the first ladies will be there able luck
4:22
Yeah, and that could be to our advantage too. You
4:24
know, the players might be feeling the adrenaline with having
4:27
I think it's over three thousand fans there, so just having
4:29
that atmosphere at FedEx Field, I definitely think it's
4:31
going to help us. And the weather is supposed to be beautiful,
4:33
so it's just going to be a beautiful
4:37
football Sunday at FedEx Field, all
4:40
right. I hopefully we're gonna be having a victory

6:37
Welcome to the wild Spotlight. Today we have joining
6:40
s Lieutenant General Jody Daniels. She has
6:42
more than thirty six years of active in reserve
6:44
military service and recently assume the role
6:46
of Chief of Army Reserve and Commanding General
6:49
for the US Army Reserve Command. She completed
6:51
a civil affairs deployment to Kosovo, as
6:53
well as an deployment to Iraq, where she served
6:55
as the Chief of Plans and Integration
6:58
and then as a Director of Intelligence Multinational
7:00
Security Transition Command Iraq. And
7:03
her civilian career, Daniels was the director
7:05
of Advanced Programs for Lockee Martin's Advanced
7:07
Technology Laboratory Laboratories. Wow,
7:11
you are very, very impressive when we are so
7:13
honored to have you here in a while. Welcome, absolutely,
7:16
thank you. It's a pleasure to be here. Yea.
7:18
And what's crazy about this is that's
7:21
the very condensed version of your bio.
7:23
There was so much you
7:28
were in the midst of an impressive civilian career Lockeed
7:30
Martin. I want to know what cauled
7:32
you away into full time military service rather
7:34
than the reserves. So in
7:37
fact, I had done seven and a half years
7:39
on active duty. Then I converted
7:42
from the active component into the Army
7:44
Reserve when I decided to go after graduate school.
7:46
And I did that for a number of years, and then I joined lockeed
7:49
Martin while continuing my reserve career.
7:51
And then when I made general officer, I
7:54
had an opportunity to go on a full time position
7:56
while still in the Army reserve. So
7:58
I went off and did that, and
8:00
so I did some some quick math,
8:03
and I have, um, I've served
8:06
in four countries, ten states, with
8:08
you know, over twenty of different assignments, primarily
8:11
in intelligence, but also in civil affairs
8:14
and in training. Wow,
8:19
I don't even feel worthy to even interview you
8:21
at all. But
8:25
but I'm also you know, but I also do take time
8:27
out for family and for football, you
8:29
know. So my my personal preference is in fact
8:31
for the Washington football team. That
8:35
was one of my questions. So that's
8:37
that's not an Army reserve position, but it's certainly
8:39
mine, and it's also not my husband's position,
8:41
who's a Giants fan. So we are as divided
8:46
for you to be on. Yeah, with the game coming
8:48
up this weekend. While those are
8:50
always fun, we actually have a have a
8:53
nice wreath that we hang on our door. We
8:55
got from my stepdaughter, and half of it has the Washington
8:58
colors and half of it has the Giants, you
9:00
know, New York Giants colors, and it flips, so
9:02
it's a lot of fun to put up. That's
9:05
also well, obviously we're hoping for when for the
9:07
Washington football team. Absolutely they
9:10
got us by a point last time, and that was
9:12
just that hurts so hard. It
9:15
hurt a lot, it did. It did. So
9:18
talk about you received the
9:20
combat Action badge, So one, can you
9:22
talk about and share what that is for those
9:25
that don't know, and in what deployment
9:27
was that and then can you just tell us how that impacted
9:30
you personally? So
9:32
that was from my about eleven
9:34
months over in Iraq, I
9:37
went over and was serving as part of a survey
9:39
team to look at what forces
9:42
did we the army need to take over to support
9:45
the training mission that
9:47
we were doing for training the Iraqi Army and the
9:49
Iraqi soldiers. And so I went
9:52
over with a group something about me and fifteen
9:54
me and me and twelve dudes go to
9:56
a foreign country. UM. I did the same thing when
9:58
I went over to Savo in
10:00
ninety nine and we did a survey of what
10:03
was needed to support that training mission.
10:05
And it was a tremendous experience
10:08
in helping the Iraqi stand
10:10
up their professional education system,
10:13
their different specialty courses for whether
10:15
or not it was you know, the military, their military,
10:18
police, or intelligence or logistics
10:20
or all the other different branches
10:22
that they were putting together, and so it
10:25
was during that time that I did, in fact received
10:27
the award. That
10:29
is really impressive. I
10:32
was in Kosovo on a tour when
10:34
I was in the NBA, so in
10:36
two thousands. So I wonder if we crossed
10:38
paths. How long were you there? No? I
10:40
was. I was probably only there. I was there on the summer
10:43
of ninety nine from
10:45
July to September. Awesome.
10:47
So another question for you, being the first
10:49
woman who serves as a thirty fourth Chief
10:52
of Army Reserve in the
10:54
ninth Commanding General for the US Army
10:56
Reserve. These are recent positions
10:58
since twenty twenty, are you able
11:00
to sit back at all and recognize the
11:03
importance of this position as a pioneer for other
11:05
women. It's really
11:07
important that I look at it from
11:10
a variety of perspectives. So I learned when
11:12
I was over as the you know, the principal
11:15
intelligence officer for the Africa Command,
11:18
that not only was I was representing the
11:21
intelligence field, I was representing
11:23
the Army Reserve. I was representing the Army.
11:25
I was representing senior leaders, I was representing
11:28
women. I had a whole bunch of different
11:30
roles that I took on,
11:32
and so it's kind of interesting to sort of
11:34
realize that you're not just you're
11:37
you, and you're not just you know, whatever rank
11:39
or all these other positions that you're representing,
11:42
and that is a little bit heady. And
11:45
so being you know, head of the Army Reserve, which
11:47
is about two hundred thousand soldiers and
11:49
civilians spread across twenty
11:51
time zones, it's kind of like, oh my,
11:54
that's kind of big and it's important. But
11:57
I've done a lot of jobs leading up to this
12:00
that positioned me well and gave me different
12:02
experiences and exposures along the way.
12:04
So this was, well, there's a learning curve. It's
12:06
not outrageous. So I've
12:09
been sort of preparing up to this
12:11
time. But it's great.
12:13
Let me follow up with that. Then, you said
12:16
you were positioned for this by your previous
12:18
careers. Was there a mentor that helped
12:20
you that you can think of on the top of your head. I've
12:22
had a number of fabulous mentors,
12:26
one of which is retired lieutenant
12:28
retired Major General leslie Purser.
12:31
She was a boss and she helped me out when
12:33
I was a colonel taking
12:35
care of you know that I was
12:37
looking in the right direction and doing the correct sorts
12:40
of things and was always there as an outlet.
12:43
I also had my very first boss was
12:46
at the time was a major. His name was Rushfrew,
12:48
and he did a smart thing, was saying, well, you should
12:51
go to graduate school and you should go do these other
12:53
things that I had never thought of,
12:56
and so he was opening to my eyes into
12:58
what I could do as well is giving
13:00
me confidence in what I was doing.
13:04
I love that in confidence in what you were
13:07
Yes, that's and
13:09
following up on that, do you feel
13:11
like what you say or are the actions you
13:13
take are judge differently because you are a female in this
13:15
position, and also does it give you the edge
13:17
sometimes to have that female touch
13:20
as a leader. So over
13:22
the years, as you would progress in rank,
13:24
you learn that your words are taken very
13:27
carefully and literally, and sometimes
13:30
people over react and what they
13:32
thought they heard you say, and so you have to over
13:35
time, I have become very careful
13:37
about things that I say so
13:40
that I don't send people scurrying off to do
13:42
additional work that I didn't really
13:44
intend. So like, oh that's kind of interesting, Oh
13:46
well we're gonna go, and I'm like, no, no no, No, it's just interesting.
13:50
So I have to be careful about that and
13:54
making sure that I'm not inadvertently sending
13:56
people off and tasking them.
13:59
But the same time, I also have to be careful in a room
14:01
full of primarily men, in
14:04
terms of when do I speak and what do
14:06
I say, to make sure that my words are
14:08
impactful and aren't
14:11
sort of left aside. And that's
14:13
something that in both of my careers I've
14:15
had to be careful about. Yeah,
14:18
and touching on that a little bit. When you know the
14:20
power of your words and you know the
14:22
power of your actions and how that
14:24
can be taken by an observer or
14:26
a listener, what would you say,
14:28
just over the course of your career, are three
14:30
tips or three lessons that you've
14:33
absorbed and that you've taken in from
14:35
your experience, either with someone
14:38
your mentor or just the experiences
14:40
being out in the field. So
14:43
one thing that I encourage
14:45
people to do is sort of to look two decisions
14:47
ahead, not just one. People
14:50
tend to look sort of at the first one, but
14:52
if you look a little bit further out, you
14:54
think about what are the I guess someone to help you
14:56
think about, what are those different options what could
14:58
I do the think closer
15:01
in of what do I need to do to be able to get there,
15:03
because we tend to sort of focus in on well what's
15:05
next. Well, now I'll really look a little bit a little bit
15:08
further, set your sights a little bit bit further
15:10
out. Um. Another tip
15:12
that I give is, delegate,
15:14
delegate, delegate, m as
15:16
much as possible, and to that
15:19
effect, step away from email.
15:21
It's too easy to get sucked into it
15:24
and to be, um, you
15:26
know, driven by it. And
15:28
so when I go on vacation, my cell phone
15:30
it goes, it goes into the safe, it
15:33
goes into you know some places, it gets turned
15:35
off, and I go off and have fun. My
15:37
subordinates are positioned
15:39
to run the world without me. Um,
15:42
That's why we have them. I trust them, and
15:44
I'm demonstrating that trust by by stepping
15:47
away from the cell phone
15:49
and letting them take charge. So
15:51
I hope I hit I hit three. I hope within that that collection
15:53
of things. Yeah, And it's so interesting
15:56
because when you said delegate, delegate,
15:58
delegate, all three of us were like, oh
16:00
my gosh, because that's something that all three of us need
16:02
to work on life. We hold responsibility
16:05
really tight and close one because
16:07
I think it's ours,
16:09
it's our baby. We feel like we can do it best, and we
16:12
just have trouble sometimes allowing people
16:14
to help us, or even asking people
16:16
to help us. So how do you kind of break
16:18
through that mindset of you
16:20
having to be the strong woman that can do all things
16:23
and not need the help and just realizing
16:25
that it's okay to receive help.
16:28
I think it's empowering to be able
16:30
to ask for help, to show the
16:32
strength of courage that I'm
16:34
not perfect, I don't know everything, I can't
16:37
possibly know everything. I need some
16:39
assistance. I don't have to be the smartest person
16:41
in the room, but I gotta have the smart people with
16:43
me, you know. And who are those people
16:45
that I can leverage that I can take advantage of
16:47
their skills their strengths. So I
16:49
think it's empowering to be able to
16:51
delegate. And I was recently told
16:54
do those things that only you can do,
16:57
and then that frees up the rest of the time
17:00
for the other things that you want to be able to
17:02
do instead of those things that you're thinking
17:04
that you must do. If
17:07
I go with the email that I know you said,
17:09
like you step away from it when you're on vacation,
17:12
But do you step away from your emails
17:14
to do what you're saying so you can focus on bigger
17:16
pictures or things that you want to do well. I
17:19
also sort of limit time
17:21
on email. Okay, so you know when
17:23
the military we call it, we have a battle rhythm. So
17:25
how much time you know when you do certain things
17:27
on a regular basis. So I allocate
17:30
certain blocks of time to reading email,
17:32
and I go in and I tree ash and I delete
17:34
like nobody's business. You know what can
17:36
I get rid of? What can I send onward? And
17:38
sort of you can always sit
17:40
there and wait for the next message to come in. It's too
17:42
easy. Um, but but to limit
17:45
how much time and focus and attention it's
17:47
allowed to have tough,
17:50
but it's but it's so worth it. Yeah,
17:52
it's great advice. Down all
17:54
these tips like
17:57
that. I know. I'm like, can I get my note book?
18:01
As we enter into the game this weekend,
18:03
as we brought up with the Giants, it is our salute to service
18:06
game and we are celebrating such to service the entire
18:09
month with watching a football team. What would you
18:11
like to say to the NFL fans as well as civilians
18:13
as we recognize military service this month,
18:16
so in reserve side, not
18:18
only the soldiers and the civilians, the
18:20
family members, but also our employers
18:23
who allow us to go off and serve and
18:25
recognize that we are having dual careers.
18:28
So you know, thank you, you know, to all of those
18:30
groups for all that you do and all
18:33
the sacrifices you make and the service
18:35
that you have given to our nation. So thank you very much.
18:40
Dual careers. And then how about as a
18:42
woman, then what or anybody dual careers
18:44
with the reserves, your career and then family
18:47
to talk about three major things
18:49
in your life? Holy cow? So
18:52
yes, a bit of a bit of a collection
18:54
of things. That's we try to work
18:56
on balance. And it's not I wouldn't
18:58
necessarily it's certainly not pity, but
19:00
it's trying to to, like I said, step away
19:02
from the email, you know, and to go off and do
19:04
those fun things that that your family enjoys.
19:07
Um, it's
19:09
tough, but it's but it's but it's it,
19:12
it's it. I think it has helped
19:14
me in terms of being able to keep
19:16
my sanity. And so I go out and I do
19:18
workouts, I run, I lift weights.
19:21
Um, I do all kinds of other interesting different
19:23
exercises. I like to flip tires.
19:26
Um, you know I do. It's crazy,
19:29
Um, but I think that helps with my endurance
19:31
and my ability to do all the things that I want to do.
19:34
Yeah, well, you probably have to flip tires because
19:36
you live with the Giants fan. You gotta get that agression
19:39
out. I
19:42
was gonna ask, how, how are how are
19:44
you planning to watch the game this Sunday with your
19:46
husband? Any any any game day traditions.
19:49
Um. So he has a Giants gnome
19:52
that I try to like turn upside down or hide
19:54
or something, you know, so that it's not visible. Um.
19:57
But now we sort of keep you know, we keep to our separate corners.
19:59
And as long as it's a good game,
20:02
we're both happy. You know, some you
20:04
know, one of us is a little more than the other. But as
20:06
long as it's a it's it's a it's a well officiated
20:09
game, we both enjoy it. That's
20:12
good. That's good to know. I'm sure coming
20:14
off on a night football he feels a little bit better and
20:16
probably a little frustrated about his Giants. That
20:19
we look forward to the matchup to Sunday.
20:22
Yeah, well yes,
20:24
yes, well,
20:27
thank you so much for joining the while and more
20:29
importantly, thank you so much for your service. It has
20:31
been an honor to have you on the show today. Well,
20:34
thank you so much for the invite, and and um
20:37
congratulations to your group for all the outreach
20:39
that you do. I appreciate the time today,
20:43

heading into Wow Overtime, brought to you
22:35
by Fresh Fine Lines. What an
22:37
incredible interview we just had.
22:39
She is all around such
22:41
an oppressive person and mentor.
22:44
I know me and James Stephan you were joking. We were writing
22:46
down notes, especially right before
22:48
we started Goodbye to her. We were like, waitait, what was
22:50
that thing you said about, you know,
22:52
emails and taking time for yourself. And it's
22:55
just I know for me, especially like
22:57
I love reading books about tools of
22:59
success us and about habits of successful people
23:01
in leaders and it's really inspiring
23:04
to hear different tactics that people do and
23:06
and I just want to applaud the
23:08
Washington football team as well
23:11
as I'm gonna just brag
23:13
about us, the first Ladies of Football, for all
23:15
that we do to engage with the
23:17
military service.
23:20
And I know I have been on six
23:22
military tours overseas
23:25
and seeing it firsthand. It is seeing
23:27
firsthand what the men and women of this country
23:30
are doing to protect us. It's
23:33
humbling experience. It's a life changing
23:36
experience. It's something that I'm forever grateful
23:38
for the Washington football program for allowing me to
23:40
be a part of. And I just think we
23:43
should use this opportunity to brag about
23:45
just all the work that we are doing
23:47
to make that to that engagement. Yeah,
23:51
no, I agree. I mean when I was a first
23:53
Lady that you know, after the first
23:55
game. I tell this story like after my very first game
23:58
coming out of the tunnel, like if anyone to add would
24:00
have asked me then my most memorable
24:02
experience was coming out of the tunnel for the first
24:04
time as a first lady of football. But once
24:06
I went on my first tour overseas,
24:09
that became the most memorable and meaningful
24:11
experience for me. Being able
24:14
to go to Kastovo, Afghanistan, Bosnia
24:17
and just being able to connect with
24:19
the men and women that serve our country in a very deep
24:22
way and knowing that they appreciate
24:24
us so much. Meanwhile, we're the ones
24:26
that appreciate them. And I
24:29
think it's so important what the Washington
24:31
football team is doing, even what Washington Salute
24:33
does on a regular basis, to make sure
24:36
that our men and women know that we care and
24:38
that we support them and that we are here for
24:40
them. And just being able to have that experience
24:42
to go overseas, I mean even just you know, Walter
24:44
read and do community service within this area within
24:46
the military has literally been
24:48
a life changing experience for me personally.
24:51
Yeah. Absolutely, I mean I've been on tours
24:53
like you guys are talking about with the
24:55
First Ladies, and I
24:58
remember actually going into coast Bosnia
25:02
right when the war ended and seeing you
25:04
know, the Olympic symbols all shot up
25:06
and the runway with the plane crashed
25:08
on it, and just you know, visiting
25:11
the men and women that were serving at that time.
25:13
It was so difficult for them and they
25:15
had lost some people, and just you know,
25:17
working from six in the morning till midnight
25:20
to make sure that we said hello to every
25:22
single person, trying to you know, bring
25:24
a touch of home to them. So every
25:26
tour means so much. And as you
25:28
mentioned, Jenny, are Washington Salute.
25:30
It's the NFL's largest military fan club.
25:33
So the Washington Football team from the First
25:35
Ladies to Salute to our players were
25:37
committed to honoring our troops and empowering
25:40
military organizations for
25:42
this month. If you go to Washington
25:44
Football dot com the Salute page, you'll
25:46
see all the different events that are being held
25:49
for Salute to Service. And I know, Jennie, you could
25:51
probably touch on a few of them that you've been involved in. Yeah,
25:54
I mean, there's so much coming up as I've definitely
25:56
want to plug connecting generations,
25:58
so be on the lookout for that interview. I had
26:00
the honor and the privilege to
26:03
interview on Brigadier General Charles McGee.
26:05
He has retired American fighter pilot
26:07
who was a member of the Tuskegee Airmen.
26:10
It was absolutely amazing conversation.
26:12
He is a career officer in
26:14
the United States Air Force with more than thirty
26:17
years and he I think flew
26:19
in three wars and had
26:21
four hundred and nine combat missions. And
26:23
so that conversation with him, along
26:26
with Doug Williams and Jason Wright,
26:28
was just amazing because we literally were
26:31
connecting three generations,
26:33
but then allowing and enabling
26:35
other people outside of these three generations
26:38
to connect with them as well. And so it
26:41
was just I mean, I shared with you all that
26:43
after that conversation, when we
26:45
ended the interview, I literally was so emotional
26:47
that I started to cry because just knowing
26:50
what General McGee went through
26:53
as a Tuskegee Airman and the sacrifices
26:55
that he made for us, and the sacrifices
26:57
that all men and women make for us day in and day
27:00
out, not even thinking about it. It's just because
27:02
what they were called to do. It was
27:04
just so amazing to know that I was a part of
27:06
that conversation, so definitely be on the lookout
27:09
for that one, and then we will be you
27:11
know, doing a virtual event at WAL three.
27:13
There's just so much coming up, so just
27:15
really appreciate Alec for everything that he's doing
27:18
with Washington Salute and putting all of these amazing
27:20
events together that really touched the lives
27:22
of everyone. And
27:24
before we go, I want to leave with something that's leave
27:27
everyone with. Something that stuck with me from Lieutenant
27:29
Daniels is her comment
27:32
about yes, she might
27:34
be the only woman in the room, but making sure that
27:36
what she's saying is impactful and being
27:38
thoughtful about what she's saying and the impression that
27:40
she is making because of the role that she makes
27:43
or the role that she has taken on. I think that's
27:45
something that I took away from this interview and something that I want to
27:47
be more thoughtful about moving forward as
27:49
we are women in leadership roles in this
27:52
world and this role. Well, thank
27:54
you all for an amazing show and can't
27:57
wait to see the Giants game in our Salute to Service
27:59
game and all all the great things of the Washington football team
28:01
is doing all month long to honor our military
28:03
men and women that'll do it for us. Make sure
