In this episode Megan chats with award-winning author Eve Lazarus. Eve starts the conversation off with a reading from her book Murder by Milkshake. She takes us to the top of the iconic Bowmac sign with one of the most captivating moments of the "astonishing true story" of Esther Castellani by her husband Rene in the 1960s. True crime has quickly become one of the most popular genres the page, on the airwaves and on-screen, but Eve's approach often gives the victims of the crimes she researches a voice.

ABOUT EVE LAZARUS:

Eve Lazarus is a journalist, blogger and the author of seven books of non-fiction. She is a former Vancouver Sun reporter and has written for a variety of newspapers and magazines including the Globe and Mail, Style at Home, Costco Connection and Marketing Magazine. Her books include the B.C. bestsellers Murder by Milkshake: An astonishing true story of adultery, arsenic, and a charismatic killer (2018); Blood, Sweat, and Fear: The story of Inspector Vance, Vancouver’s first forensic investigator (2017); Cold Case Vancouver: The city’s most baffling unsolved murders (2015); and Sensational Vancouver (2014). She is the recipient of two Gold awards for feature writing at the Kenneth R. Wilson Awards.
