Here we learn about Solomon's riches, his wisdom, and how his downfall began.  None of us are as wise as Solomon was and even he made mistakes when it came to our Father God. So don't be hard on yourself. That's just a lonely pity party that no one wants to attend. Pick yourself up, dust yourself off! Know that our sovereign God is in control. He does everything for good!! Keep your eyes on Him. You deserve it!
