As part of a series of talks held at Notre Dame University in Sydney, called 'Bishops Speaking Out', Cardinal George Pell delivered an address on 'Catholic Intellectual Life and the Universities'. In this speech Cardinal Pell addresses the view that our society is 'secular and rational', and critics the myth that Catholic teachings are opposed to rational thought.The introduction to this talk is given by Hayden Ramsay, Provost of the Sydney Campus and Executive Dean of Philosophy and Theology at Notre Dame University.
