Today’s episode is with my longtime friend, Calvin Lauber. Calvin is an engineer and producer at Young Avenue Sound, a recording studio in Memphis, TN. He is also the guitar player for the alt-rock band Pillow Talk who put out a fantastic record earlier this year on Animal Style Records. As you’ll be able to tell, Calvin and I go way back. We talk about our awkward teenage years, meeting while playing in our respective pop-punk bands (with respective embarrassing band names), and we also dig into the work he is doing now as an engineer and producer.
