I wish everyone would listen to this podcast, because I believe you will learn something new.
David McCraney is a beast! Love this freaking show (and the cookie reviews - wish those would return)!
This used to be one of my favorite podcasts. But then Floydapalooza/Summer of Hate 2020 happened and suddenly McRaney abandoned all pretense of objectivity & logical consistency in favor of blatant Leftist bias and propaganda. And the show has gone down the crapper ever since. This podcast before 2020 - 4.5 starsThis podcast since 2021 - 1.5 stars
The best podcast on pop psychology. David is a rare cat with insightful genius.
Big fan of this show. David really needs to work on his interviewing technique - organisation, saying far FAR less in his extremely long-winded statements that masquerade as questions (which organisation would help with), taking out the "ummm, ahh" prevarications, and diversions (which organisation would help with) - but the content holds up.
I've been listening to this podcast devotedly. McRaney walks the line between the deep weeds of some of the theories he explores and accessibility to a public largely unfamiliar with the frameworks. His interviews of guests are excellent, thoughtful and responsive in a genuine way. A podcast not to be missed!
Terrific. I have been listen to David for years and can't get enough. Social psychology and critical thinking meet current events!
A great podcast, but it's really only for smart, attractive people.
Has consistently been in my top 10 for the three years that I have been listening. It is an incredibly insightful deep dive into the mechanics of how we form opinions and make decisions... and all the ways that those mechanics can fail us at times. As I am typing right now, it is the eve of Joe Biden's inauguration. I mention this because over the last few years this show has become increasingly more and more relevant and more important to share with everyone you know. Recent episode #195 Clearer Thinking is a FANTASTIC starting point because it is a broad-ranging discussion that really touches briefly on the MANY fascinating topics that the show has to offer. Please listen. Please share. For the good of mankind. I'm serious.
