According to the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA; 2019), 94% of currently practicing speech-language pathologists identify as White which often results in client-clinician mismatch. This is one of the main reasons why this podcast has come to life. The goal of this podcast is to increase diversity in the field of speech-language pathology. We will focus on providing resources and tips on how to navigate this field as a multilingual/multicultural and/or first-generation student.
