Kristen and Megan Hudson grew up cross-country skiing in the Canadian Prairies, going on to compete at the national and international level. But what is even more amazing is that Kristen was born with a rare genetic abnormality, resulting in a developmental delay. Determined and strong-willed, Kristen refused to let this stop her and eventually qualified for the World Special Olympic Games in Austria, where she won gold.
