Contrary to what a lot of people say, anger, fear, and sadness are all a necessary part of life. Problems with these emotions arise when our fear causes us to become paralyzed, our anger to rage, or our sadness tips us into despair.

This is what can happen when we become overwhelmed by stress. Our reaction to stress can make it hard for us to be present with our loved ones, with our kids, our spouses and our friends.

This week’s episode is all about building a moat around our ourselves and protecting our personal space, so that we can remain present, happy, and healthy.

“We may not have the power to control our world, but we do have the power to defend the good within it.” - Shawn Achor, author of Big Potential
